There is no golden rule, but assume tier-2 cities mayn't have airport, no famous schools, less than 2 or 3 million people living in there.
Most of the tier-1 cities has direct international or national airways connectivity.
Tier-3 cities may not even have a single factory, it is hub for 100s villages, has decent bus-connectivity to nearest tier-2 city.
Exactly I was bit confused, initially thought that I read one of his old writing. The legend is still missing.
Looks pretty awesome! Will definitely give a try!
Wish to hear why did you choose to use Ada?
If someone worked on JIRA/Task we can find, otherwise, how do we even know about who has seen the codebase?
Thanks! It is also a concern that I was looking for an answer!
It is common that the developer who built might already left the team.

Why do we need to search source-code? 1. Quickly learn the domain and context of the application
2. After adding a feature, we should aware if we broke anything (assume you work with code that doesn't have test-case), it helps even to search testcases
3. Find similar code and ensure you are improving quality of the overall similar code (not just fixing current bug)
4. Understand how...
Thanks! I like the book "5 Effective Thinking Book", will give a try!
Well, It is not Lucene alone, there are many tools in java written around Lucene such as ElasticSearch/Solr/Elassandra and so on, so no language or runtime can replace everything. Eventually something might catch-up. That is why it is not language alone! It is developer, runtime, ecosystem and problem domain, brainshare.
Thanks! I observed two points.
In order to look at flow - "should learn about queue theory"!
"queue theory" itself would be useful to design queuing related systems.
Thanks! Immediately sent to my friends who are learning SQL!
Since many comments mentions that hard-work alone doesn't matter.
According to Daniel Kahneman, mere hard-work doesn't click unless we have access to expert feedback in the domain we work. He used to compare hard working f1-formula-driver without any input from past drivers vs driver with input from expert.
Hard work without mentor won't click. Environment and people around us also matter as much as the hard-work we do.
In a interview (few years back), Linus mentioned that he read many books related to Genes and medical science related to that! He supposed to be expert in that domain too!
Thanks! I learnt about Tabula from ex-colleague that he was able to successfully used to extract from reports.
Thanks! I believe in it!
We don't know what we don't know, if we learn only useful stuff!
Amazing use of SQLite! Thanks!

Need suggestion from polyglot programmers, How do you quickly switch to a programming language that you won't code often?I sometimes need to switch to few programming languages that I feel not proficient, But at times should do something with that like execute as a script, evaluate interview, manage/refer others code, find the treasure hidden in large code-base. For example, groovy, python,...

I am in need of help to find list of mistakes to avoid and if possible few guidelines to follow while joining a new team as a senior developer.Below is my draft list* Be patient and listen, listen and listen without any judgment. There is no better friend than active listening.
* No one likes a know-it-all - Be honest, confident and humble
* You will still do something embarrassing. And you...
