I manage the whole blog using git(hub) and the svg format is just perfect for that. The posts already render pretty well on the classic github md renderer: https://github.com/martin-lysk/martin-lysk/tree/main/blog/26...
I know svg to mp4 renderer exists but what would be your usecase for that?

Part 2 of my blog series on running SQLite databases directly on Git storage.
This post explores how to use zlib's Z_FULL_FLUSH flag to enable random access in Git's compressed objects, making it possible to read subsets of large files without decompressing the entire object.

My goal is that it renders on GitHub as well as on my blog. GitHub doesn’t support css based dark mode afaik

Not what I needed - my concepts life in one excalidraw, containing multiple frames of interest like https://github.com/martin-lysk/martin-lysk/blob/main/blog/26.... The blogposts reference some of them like here: https://blog.lysk.tech/nfs3-event-side-channel

Author here: I use mermaid lot as well and for some things like process flows, and to model interactions it it outrules excalidraw and posts will follow where i need exactly that. but to visualize things high level i find excalidraw way nicer.

Great article - you mentioned "two most popular families of collab editing [...] OT and CRDT". One thing you should look into is the work of https://braid.org - Its combining crdt with ot. Work that is inspired by that build the basis of loro which allows to prune history (helping with the tombstone issue you mentioned)

Re:Tuneithub.com turn any Markdown into Google Docs like collab
on Thursday March 05, 2026 @01:48AM (#47258390)
I created this out of the frustration that non techies can't collaborate in markdown - and even when collab with techies - i missed annotations, discussions and realtime collab and often switched to googledocs.
Little neat trick. If you like clever tricks and going to get-colibir.com, copy paste the url and press a button is still to cumbersome:
replace the g in any github.com url with TUNE:
https://github.com/Legit-Control/get-colibri/ -> https://TUNEithub.com/Legit-Control/get-colibri/
Tuneithub.com turn any Markdown into Google Docs like collab

I was thinking about something like that a lot. The anchoring is the hard part. One direction i was thinking in: store the commit sha within the anchor. this could allow "reanchor" based on changes in some sense. For get-colibri.com (project i am working on) I am currently considering inline html comments ai <-> human communication.
