I keep seeing Sam Altman tied to clickbaity 'How-to' articles, but never managed to apply any of the lessons to start and grow a successful company himself. Obviously from his position now, he has a lot of insights into what other companies do, so It'd be great to see factual data from his insights, rather than top-down advice that he wasn't able to apply to his own career.

That's actually the beauty of it if you ask me. Most of the companies that are now giants, didn't use 'this one weird trick'. Rather, they used proven methods like listed out. The 'trick' if you will, is to have a great product & hustle your ass off.

I have an email list of about 10k hackers & engineers who I send educational stuff to now and then. I've tried sponsored ads, which was fine, but the amount of ads you can show without making your users angry is pretty limited, so I'm wondering what else I can do to monetise my list in a bit more scalable way?

Do you need any license for this? Does it need FCC approval? It's a basic electronics kits with some LED lights, an Arduino and some wires + battery.

Created a throwaway for a variety of reasons. I am currently running a profitable service business, making $10k+/mo. But I feel miserable and I don't understand why. The work I get to do is easy and enjoyable. The clients I get to work with are great. Once I get started working I get stuff done pretty quickly, but the problem is getting started every morning.
