The number of words in a passage does not make the reading level the same. From a quick skim, this is a highly dense piece of material and isn't a quick read like paperback fiction written for kids...

Can confirm, working in auto insure-tech field, I've seen one of the major carriers stop buying leads for car owners shopping for new policies for specific Kia and Hyundai model-years over the past month.

The baby-boomer generation will be around for a long time to support these kinds of Rx delivery mechanisms. I expect the other existing Rx delivery companies in the space to start doing daily-packs style in the future.

They're certainly worth tarnishing. Knowledge of PFOA and PFAS is not without science and evidence of it's harm already established. Here are two sites where the chemicals have contaminated groundwater and caused illness in communities.

It's great to see you (jandrewrogers) of SpaceCurve reply to correctly to the question! Your blog post on why Geospatial Databases are Hard has long influenced me and a handful of others I've run into thinking about all of this.

Geohashed (X+Y) points in Redis is only peripherally related to actual geospatial database concerns, particularly big-data or ("NoSQL") spatial database concerns - how do you efficiently index anything other than point data (polygons, multi_polygons), or ask spatial queries (e.g., nearest neighbors) is not even close to being addressed.

Blog post here for reference: http://www.jandrewrogers.com/2015/03/02/geospatial-databases...

   ====== What we do =========

We're the single source of truth in logistics -- we track every boat on the water, every plane in the sky, and every truck on the ground so that we can know everything that's going on in the logistics world. We do a lot of analysis and optimization, too. We’re working in the largest, least sexy, most invisible industry in the world — 90% of everything has been on a ship at one point in time. The problem -> Lots of inefficiencies in the supply chain! One of our customers spends $400mm/year shipping empty containers, another spends $80mm/year on late fees. Lots to optimize! How we fix it -> We track everything in the supply chain and make predictions and recommendations as to what our customers should do!

   ===========================
   ===== How we do it ========
   ===========================
Web/data stack -> clojure/scala/python + postgis/redshift/redis/rabbit + ruby on rails + hadoop/EMR/Spark/Docker (we’re a SOA shop)

Mobile -> iOS, android, mobile web

Algorithms -> a dizzying mixture of oldschool and newschool techniques... think ML, Neuro-AI modeling, and statistics

Hardware -> think guts of a cell phone with hardening the of industrial systems, power management to last 5 years between charges done at the cost of a dinner

   ===========================
   ====== And the rest =======
   ===========================
We've got some very interesting partners and customers (ranging from CPG companies and telcos to enterprise software providers to regional and international logistics companies). We also have some top tier investors (a16z, atlas)! Looking specifically for:

- Senior Firmware Engineer: https://angel.co/weft/jobs/69235-senior-firmware-engineer

If this sounds interesting, please shoot us an email at [email protected] or connect with us through the AngelList posting.

We do a lot of analysis and optimization, too. We’re working in the largest, least sexy, most invisible industry in the world — 90% of everything has been on a ship at one point in time. The problem -> To try to decrease costs, carries have been increasing the size of container ships. The only problem there is that as container ships get larger, the variability in the global supply chain goes up (e.g. a large ship being late causes a headache to more people than a small one). How we fix it -> We track every ship on the water and run a bunch of analysis on our data sets so that we can help our customers smooth out the rough edges. (One company we're working with spends 6.5 mil every month on “late fees” because of these rough edges).

The letter_opener gem is pretty handy to avoid that: https://github.com/ryanb/letter_opener

Or, you could easily just create controller actions which render your emails as well:

@body = mail.body.parts[1].html_part.body.raw_source

render '/mailer_notification/preview.html', :layout => false

And in preview.html.erb: <%= raw(@body) %>
