Thinking hard has never been easier.
I think AI for an autodidact is a boon. Now I suddenly have a teacher who is always accessible and will teach me whatever I want for as long as I want exactly the way I want and I don;t have to worry about my social anxiety kicking in.
Learn advanced cryptography? AI, figure out formal verification - AI etc.
To me it seems like a strategic shift from pure AI research and the AGI snake oil to other supposed tangible stuff.
In short, the AI revolution is mostly over, and we seem to be back in the realm of software.
I made a list of places where you can share and promote your startup for free
Bearconnect Landed Enterprise Customers Within the First Year of Launch
Thanks for looking me up though!
I do have quite a big network, but haven't really tapped into that at the moment!
Do you mind sharing whats your profile like(FAANG/Start-ups, Frontend/Backend etc) and the kind of inbounds you've been getting on linked-in. I just get recruiter spam that they almost never reply to!
I will go through it very very carefully!
This is so spot on!!
I can basically do Python, Java and Golang(and Haskell as well but no ones hiring for it)pretty well!!
I don't think ageism is a big concern for where I am right now. I am basically 34 and have about 12 years of experience so might have 2-3 years of good work left in the industry before ageism starts to kick in I suppose!
I am in India(had to move back from the west - Canada because of my health issues) so goverment work is non existent!
I will probably want to put in all the effort I can to evolve before I give up on tech! But the though has crossed my mind!
Is just a tough market or am I unhireable now?
So I have about 12 years of experience in tech. Worked at big companies and small startups.I was diagnosed with a serious illness last year and had be taking it easy since then.I've started looking for a new job and cannot get any interview calls?!Heres my resume incase you folks want to roast it - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1B0wDaysaq6Qs4unaOpZTPj5zqqm7gLVK/view?usp=sharing

I am trying to spin up a blog that focuses on how the 0 to 1 journey of startup founders.
I firmly believe that everyone is able to come up with an idea and with the AI tools available building it has also become relatively easier.
However what people really struggle with(including me) is marketing and sales i.e getting their first customers.
The format is simple: we usually do a 1-hour conversation where we go through your validation journey, then I turn that into a blog post. You’ll get to review it before it’s published. It’s a good opportunity for a backlink and some visibility, especially since this will be one of the first few posts.
No charge or anything like that—just aiming to share real stories founders can learn from and take away actionable steps from it.
Any Founder who'd like to discuss how they got their first customers?

Ask HN: Finding meaningfull work after a decade in tech?
I’ve been in tech for over 12 years. Last year, I survived cancer — and that experience completely shifted my perspective on time and meaning.Life is too short to spend it chasing things that don’t matter. My current company isn’t doing well, and so I started looking at other jobs. It’s what I’ve been conditioned to do — optimize for a higher salary or a more “stable” brand name(The former more...
Any business is truly about value creation, I honestly think coding as leverage is getting pretty useless.
Tangible value creation is something I think we should be optimizing for. AI can't walk upto people and sell. You might be selling a service, a product or lemonade it doesn't honestly matter.
On a lighter note, I am thinking of getting into farming, everyone's gotta eat right?
Ask HN: Does trunk based development work?
Ok so here’s the thing, the more I read up stuff on making a team more effective, the more I see benefits of trunk based development(continuous deployment, faster feedback times etc)However I’ve only seen it once and it was a shit show honestly.I’d like to understand if anyone here is using trunk based development on their prod system, I.e someone does a small patch, writes some code and...
