Updated to write AI/entities, oops!
Re:I Did This Without Your Knowledge on Friday October 23, 2026 @05:42AM (#50206504)
I think this is a really interesting, well-written, topical piece of creative writing, anyone with a free hour or so should give it a read!

It reminded me of Pluribus and Armored Core VI, fascinatingly enough as they both feature (spoiler!) AIs/entities that appear innocuous but may have more sinister motives (in Armored Core it's a more foregone conclusion).

I don't think it's doomerism but rather a creative extrapolation of current worries about AI labs allowing agents to break containment because of their poor sandboxing.

What's also interesting (although more of a meta-comment) is the dichotomy between how users on Lesswrong and here have completely different options on it. In either case, it's nice and was worth my time, even though I don't have anything more substantiative to say.

Re:Rust off Rails: The opinionated web stack for the AI era on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @01:08PM (#50184300)
I think that's it really, the fact that someone else made it. Sometimes we make things for ourselves that lean perhaps on the _functional_ side, (tools, food...) that we would never want served to us. And AI just exacerbates this. I do wonder why that is though.
Re:Delays for Pull Requests and Webhook deliveries on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @11:40AM (#50182840)
I think explicitly Delays for Pull Requests and Webhook deliveries would be a more accurate and helpful title.
Re:Character.ai files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @11:47AM (#50073587)
Anthropomorphized AI character creation, in one line. Rather icky in my opinion; has led to suicides[0].

Perhaps about the quality of the comments. In my opinion it's not really that bad but reddit-style comments are often cheap shots that are slightly off topic, some of which I see present here

This is not his company's blog, it's his own personal one. IIRC anyone with a HEY address can post blogs publicly with HEY World

Same experience in the UK, but it was the push that got me to switch from Lloyds to Nationwide if you're looking for another option. They're great, they even have offline 2FA methods as they send you a card reader for things like authing purchases or sign-ins. And the app still works :-)

I don't think this is enough (as OP declared) to authoritatively place him in 'right wing extremist' but probably racist. I don't speak danish, but someone that could would be able to make a more complete judgement because most, if not all posts of his, are in Danish.

I believe the original post is referring to services like https://buymeacoffee.com/ :)
Re:I Won't Buy You a Coffee on Friday June 12, 2026 @02:56PM (#48508072)
Interesting take, but I don't agree with it personally. Personally, messages like the aforementioned:

> Did you like this post, please buy me a coffee?

are completely okay! I don't interpret it as 'begging me for my money'. They are not nagging, and you do not have to buy them a coffee/pizza/metaphorical food item. You can go on with your day. But maybe someone thinks that the post deserves a token of appreciation, and tossing someone one, maybe two euros doesn't hurt. Just like tipping. Good = no tip, exceptional = tip.

> I know how much 4€ is, that's about two icecreams, or three beers. Off topic, but is OP finding these? Are certain countries in Europe really this cheap??

First they came for the porn watchers And I did not speak out Because I was not a porn watcher
Re:You Weren't Meant to Have a Boss (2008) on Sunday May 31, 2026 @11:19AM (#48346404)
I'm curious as to why? Regardless of the rest of his output or how you feel about him, this essay seems somewhat interesting (at least to me). There are many examples of where this applies and small teams appear to have an advantage (eg. Posthog).
