Idea to reduce AI token use at large orgs

There must be many near-identical repeats of high-token tasks.Perhaps for high-token tasks, first an automated search of prior work within the firm, parsing what's already done or not done, and only prompting AI for the new components, then assembling the components before serving to the user.If lengthy components were already done. the overall output might be faster. Is this an add-on to...

“…Mr. Trump had claimed at one point that vandals had dumped fertilizer into the pool to feed the algae and had slashed the paint with “knives” in the “dark of night,” but the administration did not provide evidence to support those assertions. None of the people charged were accused of slashing the paint…”
“…The administration bypassed normal procedures to award no-bid contracts, saying they needed to expedite the project to have it completed by the nation’s 250th birthday on July 4.…”
“…The U.S. attorney’s office in Washington said in a court filing that it had received documents showing that the damage to the pool “was the result of a flawed installation by the contractor, Atlantic Industrial Coatings, and the rush to complete the project prior to events associated with the America 250 celebration” on July 4.

The U.S. attorney, Jeanine Pirro, a Trump ally, asked a Superior Court judge to drop charges against Mr. Hearn, 67. He was one of seven people facing charges in connection with what President Trump had claimed, without evidence, were efforts to sabotage his administration’s renovation of the pool.…”

This caught my eye, because I've started a travel startup!

Excerpt: Before Mr. Trump took office for his second term last year, Mr. Andreessen spent “half” his time at Mar-a-Lago helping with the transition, he has said. The venture capitalist also informally advised Mr. Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency. And two former Andreessen Horowitz partners took on senior government jobs, including one working on A.I. regulation.
Given that they're far more water-efficient, they may have a bright future down the road, as solar tech, battery tech, and climate change all advance.
“…Nona Yehia readily admits that her company, Vertical Harvest, which she helped start in 2010, made plenty of mistakes, like how to manage airflow and humidity. But the reason Vertical Harvest is still around is the scale of those mistakes.

“My colleagues and competitors made big mistakes with big money and big farms,” she said. “We made small mistakes with small money and small farms.”

She said the first wave of vertical farms had approached business as if they were huge, established food companies, and not start-ups. Their business plan was “large-scale, commodity lettuce sold into retail at thin margins,” she wrote in an email, a difficult proposition against established competition…”

Re:The One Question That Exposes Fake Product-Market Fit on Thursday March 05, 2026 @04:44AM (#47259667)
"The uncomfortable conclusion most angels do not say out loud: a large percentage of seed-funded PMF is not PMF but FMF (founder-market fit) combined with enough early customer goodwill to produce metrics that clear the bar. The product may be fine, the founder is exceptional but the pull is not there.

This could still be fundable at seed. The bet is that the product catches up to the founder before the founder burns out carrying it."

Re:The One Question That Exposes Fake Product-Market Fit on Thursday March 05, 2026 @04:43AM (#47259661)
"Angels confuse founder quality with product quality and often fund the wrong thing.

A strong founder who is personally closing customers, personally managing relationships, and personally rescuing churn is demonstrating something real. Their ability to sell, their commitment to the company and their capacity to hold things together in early chaos. These are not small things as they matter for survival.

But survival is not the same as scalability. And angel returns do not come from survival."

"The question: What percentage of your paying customers came back and paid again without any further involvement from you?"

Founder's responsibility to protect the value of your team's equity

As a founder, it is YOUR responsibility to protect the value of your team's equity (many employees don't understand or perhaps aren't privy to the all-important details of proposed VC funding terms).I'm surprised there aren't more lawsuits by startup employees against directors & officers who allow most of a company's exit value to be siphoned-off by onerous VC terms, like liquidity...

DOGE is a group of thoughtless, self-serving goons whose only tool is blunt force. Fck each and every person who put vengeful, childlike, draft-dodging, felonious Trmp in office.
Hmm. Perfection is not possible on Day 1, but the status quo isn't perfect either.
This is encouraging!
Re:The Story You've Been Told About Recycling Is a Lie on Friday February 14, 2025 @07:43AM (#43047783)
“…what I witnessed in Indonesia. Across the country’s 17,000-odd islands, domestically consumed plastic is so mishandled that 365 tons of it are believed to enter the sea every hour.

And yet, deep in the highlands of Java, there are hellscapes of imported Western waste — toothpaste tubes from California, shopping bags from the Netherlands, deodorant sticks from Australia — stacked knee-high as far as the eye can see.

Too voluminous to even attempt to recycle, it is used as fuel in scores of bakeries that supply Java’s street markets with tofu, a culinary staple. The result is some of the most lethal cuisine imaginable, with poisons from incinerated Western plastic ingested hourly by great numbers of Indonesians.…”

Respectfully, that MAY be the case today, but not necessarily tomorrow (where the puck is going)
Excerpt: “…Losing one’s home in a fire is devastating, with the first priority being to find somewhere to live. The trauma is then compounded by the onerous requirement of most insurance carriers to submit an exhaustive list of lost belongings — “with line items as specific as the number and brand of toothbrushes in a bathroom,” according to a report about unfair insurance practices.…”

Good idea. Thank you @codingdave. I just did that, but it's not showing up yet.
