News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

Absolutely the right decision, since anyone who used this word was expressing hateful speech. We are for freedom and should not allow all kinds of ultra-biased people to ruin it.
I am fully in favor of common sense, meritocracy, and do not associate myself with any parties. But this article is pure propaganda and brainwashing. And to be fair, an article like this, if it were of a right-wing nature, would have long been banned. Which once again shows us the truth that everyone's minds are actively being washed with a certain ideology.
You left leftist off the list, though. Deliberate?
>weaponize disinformation, and provide the surveillance backbone of an emerging global police state.

Blessed description of all leftist goverments (especially Biden's, goverment of UK, France, etc).

THE ONLY REASON IS THAT Courtsdesk PROVIDED TOO EFFECTIVE A TOOL FOR INVESTIGATING STATE CRIMES AND UNCOVERING CORRUPTION AMONG HIGH-RANKING OFFICIALS, LIKE Keir Starmer. Example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotherham_child_sexual_exploit..., Courtsdesk WAS ACTIVELY USED TO ANALYZE COURT CASES AND DETECT STATE CRIMES COMMITTED BY THE POLICE.

This is definitely not about leftist judges

Re:Go-legacy-winxp: Compile Golang 1.24 code for Windows XP on Friday January 16, 2026 @02:46PM (#46651217)
I have 8Gb RAM and HDD. Windows 7 works perfectly, windows 10 work acceptable. Linux bad work: horrible performance browser and IDE especially on distr with snap (browser performance near zero). On linux desktop huge problem with shortcuts. I don't know what the DE developers are doing, but I've never been able to get the key combinations I need and find convenient to work without conflicts with the system ones. Or it's just impossible to set them.
Re:Go-legacy-winxp: Compile Golang 1.24 code for Windows XP on Friday January 16, 2026 @11:42AM (#46648450)
Modern Linux is bad, nothing works completely, and on top of that, fragmentation between X and Wayland makes it worse. I just want to use my favorite software on a convenient operating system that doesn't eat up a lot of resources. And yes, that’s Windows 7. Just give me back the ability to use Steam or SourceTree and stop forcing bloatware like Windows 10 or Windows 11 on me.
Re:Go-legacy-winxp: Compile Golang 1.24 code for Windows XP on Friday January 16, 2026 @09:52AM (#46646923)
Since hardware prices have skyrocketed, it is very important to run software on low-end hardware and use a suitable operating system, such as Windows 7, whose support, amusingly, has been dropped by nearly every project recently. Backporting software to Windows 7 is something we must do, for our freedom and our wallets.
Of course, if you pay me for that job
It seems you have no understanding of the term neo-fascism, and yes, it's not what your propaganda talks about.
Re:Migrating the main Zig repository from GitHub to Codeberg on Thursday November 27, 2025 @04:00AM (#46067268)
>Putting aside GitHub’s relationship with ICE

Stop playing smart. You criticize ICE only because it's allowed and encouraged by mass media sponsored by liberals. They are great guys and do very important work. The real problem may be DEI and negative discrimination, which ultimately worsens quality.

Re:Kaitai Struct: declarative binary format parsing language on Friday October 24, 2025 @05:59AM (#45692861)
Enjoyable tool. When I developed my text RPG game, I prepared a Kaitai specification for the save file data format so that it would be easy to create third-party software for viewing and modifying it =)
Re:Denmark to raise retirement age to 70 on Monday May 26, 2025 @03:54AM (#44095051)
The real truth is that politicians promised that refugees would help fill jobs. Raising the retirement age makes no sense if that was really the goal. Now their lies are obvious.
Re:We Need More Optimistic Science Fiction on Thursday May 01, 2025 @04:50AM (#43855138)
That is not the goal of current geopolitics. In the 70s, the Tavistock Club was tasked with “To stamp out cultural optimism”. After that, the world began to slide into neoarchaism, where we are now, and futurism was essentially stolen from us. Unfortunately the collapse of the USSR made it very easy for this to happen and now we read about medieval madness in the middle east instead of flights to mars.
