Meditation
Re:Microsoft to Acquire Activision Blizzard on Tuesday January 18, 2022 @09:14AM (#29979392)
Read the whole paragraph. Once the deal closes Activision will report to Phil.
Yes, concentration is attention. There are levels of concentration. With the final being Exclusive attention to the object.

Again meditation goes more deeper into the model.

If you are curious about it I'll suggest you to read the book. The Mind Illuminated by Culadasa.

Whatever the author mentions is part of meditation. But observing the mind requires concentration too otherwise it will wander away with thoughts.

Anyway, if you feel connected with such kind of things then I'll heavily recommend to do meditation.

Re:How to read research paper, textbook, long text content? on Sunday January 09, 2022 @10:35AM (#29864105)
Is that an issue with willpower or concentration?

I think it's the latter. I would suggest you to do some meditation.

Throwing an arrow in the air but it might be the case that your mind is wandering too much when you start reading. Doing some concentration practice will help.

The anxiety is pretty random or I would say it's an amplified worry. Worry that's shouldn't be a deal but it becomes.
Re:Ask HN: How to Live Alone on Friday December 03, 2021 @02:28PM (#29434157)
The problem is sooner or later I lose the motivation to do anything. It's a feeling of deep dullness.

I have tried that but I had to be meditative whole day and time. That gets tiring... Is there an easier way?

Re:Ask HN: How do you tackle your own negativity? on Monday November 01, 2021 @12:26AM (#29062991)
Don't judge things. Things are just as is, it's your opinion that makes them good or bad. Remember this and whenever you make a judgement then just remove that opinion of yours.

I found it to be incomplete or wrong at some places. And Introduction to Automata theory, languages, and computation to be a better exposition.

His content is non-existent to bad.

Man say whatever you want. I am feeling lonely working at home too. You can't focus on your family while working but colleagues aren't there too.

A lot of time I feel the need to talk about work but there is no one to talk to. It's hard to ping a colleague for some chit-chat.

I tried it and it's buttery smooth. Feels like notepad.
I felt it was more of an advertisment book than anything else. Author kept on praising his technique after every other paragraph or so.

Somehow it felt like he is defending use of Go than praising it.
Doesn't Google recorder does freely for you?
I have been aware of this since years how. Now I wonder if I subconsciously do multi tasking.

Checking emails while listening to sing and simultaneously coding. Is this multi tasking or multiplexing?

You can work for a fixed price and you won't be tracked.
