All I'm getting is a message: "Oops! Unauthorized F4map API usage. If you are this website administrator, please contact the support at [email protected]."

FYI the word I believe you're looking for is "milquetoast" :)

Re:What happened to Mint? on Thursday January 23, 2020 @06:01PM (#22133251)
Tiller (https://www.tillerhq.com/) does exactly this. You can dump the data into Google Sheets or into Excel.
Re:What happened to Mint? on Thursday January 23, 2020 @05:35PM (#22133034)
While I can understand not wanting to create a Google account (even just to use as a login), my understanding is that if you use Tiller via Excel, Google will not have access to any of your financial data.
Re:T-Mobile demand Lemonade to stop using the color magenta on Tuesday November 05, 2019 @12:23PM (#21454445)
I'm not from Germany, but I did notice that they changed the color for the German site. My comparison is to the American site.
Re:T-Mobile demand Lemonade to stop using the color magenta on Tuesday November 05, 2019 @12:03PM (#21454250)
For those curious, based on the CSS on their respective websites, they aren't _exactly_ the same HEX color, just pretty similar.

(Lemonade is #ff0083, while T-Mobile is #e20074. Comparison here: https://www.colorcombos.com/combotester.html?color0=e20074&c...)

This reminds me of Yid++[0], a tongue-in-cheek C++ compiler with a bunch of keywords translated into Yeshivish[1]. (I apologize in advance if the humor is wasted on those unfamiliar with the Yeshivish / Talmudic world.) It's still in ASCII though :)

If nothing else, these things remind me how lucky I was to not have had to learn English while I simultaneously learned to program.

Re:Using JSON Schema to Document, Test, and Debug APIs on Sunday April 14, 2019 @04:35PM (#19661544)
This is precisely the purpose of the OpenAPI Specification[0], an extended subset of the JSON Schema specification. Plus there a whole family of supporting tools, such as Swagger UI[1], and lots more[2].

Welp, now that my Imposter Syndrome has returned in full force, any concrete advice on leveling up in engineering skill (other than getting hired at Google circa 1999)?

Edit: I now see that Paul coined the "Don't be Evil" slogan[0]. I'm curious what his thoughts on its removal and what that portends for Google today. u/paul?

FYI in case you weren't aware, Yom Kippur is celebrated tonight / tomorrow this year.
Thanks. I'll have to look into that. Might not work for my use-case (AC units).
Thanks balloob. Tried all the solutions in the thread. None worked for me.
That didn't work for me :/
Since there are eyes on this thread: Has anyone successfully linked their HA Cloud account with Alexa? I keep on getting "We were unable to link Home Assistant at this time."

I believe you're right! Now that I've publicly displayed my ignorance, I discovered this message in the console:

I can't say that I'm any less impressed that it's "only" 360 drawings :)

Pretty cool concept on Timo Becker's site[0] (linked in TFA), and I'm trying to figure out how it's accomplished.

If memory serves, there's 6! = 720 distinct graphs. Was a custom illustration created for each of those?

Either way, really nicely done IMHO.

I have no horse in this race, but this is so cool that one minute you're exchanging comments on HN and the next you're livestreaming a conversation on the topic! What a world :)
Having worked many years both with ORMs and with "old-school" devs slinging raw SQL strings and everything in between, I've come to the conclusion that "ORMs don't kill [performance], people do". :)

Re:20 Years of Crunch Take Their Toll on a Game Developer on Thursday May 03, 2018 @10:53PM (#16991871)
Yup. GP is definitely exaggerating how likely it is, although his larger point that in this era, working in the game industry is an explicit choice, because there lots of other options out there for devs, that point still stands IMHO!
