I'd like to start ML journey and I'm wondering if with ChatGPT and similar tech is it possible to write model (or maybe already exists) which listens to all available music and can produce pop song? Is it a good problem to start with AI/ML?
I'd love to see a movement where more engineers write tooling in-house to solve technical problems. Not adapting existing and promoted ones.
The same. I think it is technically correct and I initially thought that 502 error is intentional.
Could you please share some of the technical challenges about the migration?
Common practise is to write own generators:
(username: ArbUsernameValid) => ...
ArbUsernameValid covers all relevant Strings that can be used here like take dictionary of names from 100 countries and feed you arb generator
It's an interesting topic. From my observation industry is divided. For well-paying companies there is an influx of candidates - these companies can be very picky and calibrate hiring process to get the best of the best. Whatever it means in FANG+ big tech context.
On the other side, there are plenty of small, medium, mediocre, old-school places and these companies have to fight for talent if they don't pay a top dollar.
2 LC session and 3 system design? It looks like e6+ level at Facebook. Lower ones have more LC grind.
Google devs dont use homebrew.
Shooting ourselves in the foot was the number one cause of downtime.
What do you mean?
Did you lie to HN community to gain fame or it is actually true?
FB to the win. Younger company. PIP culture. Hot products.
They will collect nice talent during current recession.
Bad for Google.

Could you post an open position for Lead QA Engineer? Could not find.
Could you replace/change your implementation bugs into types bugs?
Unit testing can be valuable. And yes I agree with some of the points from the blog post - it can be a pain too.
When you experience such a situation it means that your tests are too low and you are testing the implementation, while you'd rather know if the system still works as expected.
One of the solutions could be some, when appropriate, using ports-adapters architecture and level up your unit tests.
Bunch of related blog posts have been published, e.g.[0]

Lately, I have been searching for open engineering test positions in Microsoft, and I have found none of QA, Tester, SDIT, SEIT etc.
The same goes for duckduckgo

I explore QA/Tester SEiT open positions from time to time and I noticed that there are less and less of them, especially in potentially interesting places.Do you have QA in your team? Of no, may I ask why?
