IMO better syntax and VM than Java and easier to write performant code than other VM based langs like Python + good tooling

I started this game almost 10 years ago in high school as a way to learn OpenGL. Scope creep quickly took over, and it eventually became a full 3D game and engine with animations, rendering effects, dynamic terrains, etc, with ~100k lines of code and native Linux and Windows support.
Thought I'd share it! With AI coding now, it feels like a relic of another era. Crazy to imagine writing 100k lines by hand today!

With the current inflow of LLM aided software, I thought I would share a cool "hand-coded" project from the previous era (I wrote this in highschool so roughly ~8 years ago).Hedra is an open world 3d game written from scratch using only OpenGL and C#. It has quite a few cool features like infinite generation, skinned animated mesh rendering, post processing effects, etc. Originally the physics...

It was never about hard work its about who owns the means of production. And it turns out the best way to amass huge amounts of wealth is creating something so you have ownership and working on growing it for decades.
Jeff had similar compensation as jassy when he was ceo. It’s just that he is also the owner.

I don't mean search in the reductionist way but rather that its much better at translating, finding and mapping concepts if everything is provided vs creating from scratch. If it could truly think it would be able to bootstrap creations from basic principles like we do, but it really can't. Doesn't mean its not a great powerful tool.

LLMs are just really good search. Ask it to create something and it's searching within the pretrained weights. Ask it to find something and it's semantically searching within your codebase. Ask it to modify something and it will do both. Once you understand its just search, you can get really good results.
