Re:Transparent Leadership Beats Servant Leadership on Friday December 05, 2025 @04:52AM (#46159157)
Happened to me couple of times. If u have strict technical skills but lack ppl skills and u have a big team. The latter (soft skills) starts to matter more. If ur in this situation then hopefully your leader/manager understand that and gets technical advice/consultation from you.
Re:Braided Arithmetic on Monday November 24, 2025 @05:40PM (#46040276)
Im bad at mathematics, but this looks great. Gonna use it in my app to make 'braidy' connections :) thank you very much!
So cool xD i think you could take it to tool with premoum features for people who are learning :)
Re:Wrapping My Head Around AI Wrappers on Thursday November 20, 2025 @12:16PM (#45995017)
Cant help myself and compare to frameworks, libraries and oop... cant we built so fast because of them?

I think of wrapper more as a very thin layer around. Thin layer is easy to reproduce. I do not question that a smart collection of wrappers can do great product. Its all about idea :)

However its if ones idea is based purely on wrappers there's really no moat, nothing stopping somebody else to copy it within a moment

i wonder how that'll go...
Im making similar tool, but based off mindmap. anyways check out video on homepage, because its not loading
hmm, looks good, but a trial would be nice... hm, like at least giving part of opinion? im not sure, but if you have 5k experts just waiting? its like im not sure if i can trust xD its not personal, just thinking out loud. anyway im trying it out, im fighting tinnitus : ]
Re:Show HN: Health Care Compare on Friday October 31, 2025 @06:08AM (#45770274)
Great app, especially with that mess that's going on with healthcare in US. you'd be shocked if you know what kind of healthcare and how cheap its in Europe (particularly Poland), if you already want to pay for premium services and no waiting. unless you're aware xD i think if more people knew they could come to here : ]
Re:Show HN: Domaining Like It's 1999 on Friday October 31, 2025 @06:05AM (#45770250)

Re:Ask HN: Teachable/Personalized Companion on Friday October 31, 2025 @05:06AM (#45769860)
Hmm, i'd like: - full control on what it remembers - being able to loadup/import stuff into memory, lets say my meetings for next week (with import id so i can delete those too with single click)

For quick rags you can check starrocks, i know its for analytics but ive loaded it up with like 100gbs of data and partial query was still like 0,3s

Re:Qt Creator 18 Released on Friday October 31, 2025 @04:10AM (#45769457)

Show HN: Linux CLI game, quiz, cheatsheet and map from my mind mapping app

https://mindmapsonline.com/linux_commands_quiz

Im working on a mind mapping app that would allow for integration of gamification features and be nicer and easier to remember. I was missing more advanced graphics from apps and being able to treat it as my note taking and learning tool.i.e. how (and why?) should I remember a mind map if it looks the same like all other maps and all i can do is pick couple of shapes and dashed/dotted...

Re:Why I'm teaching kids to hack computers on Tuesday October 28, 2025 @03:16AM (#45729960)
Member it (southpark) :) one could learn some assembler by taking down those limitations and cd checks. Who would thought that it will be useful in reverse engineering malwqre in future? Hah...

Dont get me wrong, at that time very little ppl in my country had ccs to actually buy any software even if, they wouldnt give it to kids :)

cool :) i'll update website to have some contact form and let you know!
Those maps (and quiz amd games) were saved from my app, im not releasing it yet as i have still a bit work to do, but soon i'll be offering early access. So in there one would be able to change everything and generate own pages with games and quizes like ones on that site :)
Im entirely sure your reply made my day/morning xD as from fan of mindmaps to fan of mind maps... would you be interested in beta testing once im ready? :)
Thank you! And yes, still got a bit of work to do, but once im finished others will be able to add mind maps too

As well yes to OPML, and it was planned! :)

Hmm, i have ideas for more game modes, but do you mean interactions on map or question/answer/learning modes? Do you have something specific on your mind?

These two mind maps cover Git and Linux commands visually — each node expands into examples and related commands.

You can practice them through interactive quizzes, typing games, and a searchable cheatsheet. You can store you score locally or submit to public board.

It’s absolutely free to use & has no ads. If you have any cool commands you think I should add or if you find any bug, let me know in the comments! :)

P.S. If you register, you won’t get any spam — you’ll just be able to track your scores and progress, and use anki style like "dont ask me until x" functionality.

Great post, gonna be super useful for me :)
