Re:YAPF – A formatter for Python files on Thursday April 02, 2015 @05:03PM (#9313201)
Interesting to see the formatter is written using 2 space indentation when both pep8 and google's style guides say 4.
Re:Why Django and Rails CMS Are So Rare on Friday November 30, 2012 @09:28AM (#4853339)
I've also used http://www.feincms.org/ on a few projects with success. Was the most minimalistic CMS out of all the ones I tried.

Actually it is not entirely clear if online spaces "are" considered public accommodation. Some circuits have ruled that virtual spaces are, others have said this only applies to physical space. The third line of thought has been the ADA applies to an internet site that is a gateway to a brick-and motor-store. This new judgement that Netflix "is" a public accommodation is just further fuel behind that idea, but I don't think it's accurate to assume that everything is. Right now it depends on your own circuits ruling.

Or you can install virtualenvwrapper (http://www.doughellmann.com/projects/virtualenvwrapper/) and after a little configuration...

  $ mkvirtualenv env1
  (env1)$ pip install somepackage
Creating self containing python projects has never been so easy!
Technically ActionScript is ECMAScript which JavaScript and AS3 are both dialects of.

Re:Dear Python, Why Are You So Ugly? on Thursday April 26, 2012 @10:00AM (#3893900)
Ignoring the misleading title; who cares? As long as the documentation/information is easy to get to and digest, who cares how the primary website looks?

The only area of python (specifically Django) I consider "ugly" that actually has any impact on the user is the default admin area. Fortunately there are projects like Grappelli (https://github.com/sehmaschine/django-grappelli) that help alleviate that.

Re:Ask HN: Cross platform game development? on Friday June 03, 2011 @09:55AM (#2616327)
If you're looking for a 3D development platform, give http://unity3d.com/ a look. Been developing a 3D web/smart phone game for the last year. I've also seen people do some creative 2D games on that platform as well.
