Re:Ask HN: How do you find part time work? on Sunday December 15, 2024 @03:17PM (#42425676)
I have never worked in PT jobs, but as a contractor based in Mexico, I usually apply for remote positions on LinkedIn, particularly in SAP Commerce development.

Show HN: EasyTribute – A SaaS Platform for Minimalist Online Memorials

https://www.easytribute.com/

Recently, one of my family members passed away, and as a software engineer, I felt compelled to use my Python/Django skills to create something meaningful in his honor. However, given my mental state at the time, I felt there were too many steps and overwhelming options to get this done...

Re:X.com is Twitter, but what are [a-z].com? on Friday December 08, 2023 @03:05PM (#38573548)
interesting... I thought all the available one-letter .com domains cost hundreds of millions of dollars
actually I really like to have history visible, I assume this is for people that don't mind to ask the same things every time, or heavily use the tool
such a great idea! I wonder how a podcast with two voices sounds, it would be interesting to hear the AI interaction
according to link's description it's Wondercraft https://app.wondercraft.ai/
at the beginning I thought it was an app for delivering pizza with AI, and then I realized it's practically a ChatGPT proxy for avoiding banning in Italy, touché!

imho people in general must have access to this wonderful technology

interesting SaaS. now, you have any plan in case you go out of business?
Re:Show HN: Emoji generator using Chat-GPT on Friday February 03, 2023 @05:05PM (#34648380)
interesting but I feel like the app does nothing different than the WhatsApp emoji search, anyway I appreciate the AI integration
Re:Show HN: Shoutouts.lol on Tuesday January 31, 2023 @11:58AM (#34597695)
honestly I couldn't find the real use of it at the first sight, but I really liked the minimalistic UI design
Re:Show HN: AI User Persona Creator on Friday December 30, 2022 @11:21PM (#34193526)
/persona request is returning error 502, could you please check? I'd like to test your service.
Re:Show HN: There's an AI for That on Wednesday December 21, 2022 @02:04PM (#34084896)
nice collection, and I feel the search a bit slow when typing, apparently this is caused by a late render update after searching
Re:Show HN: EasyPub.io on Sunday December 11, 2022 @03:10PM (#33946958)
good idea, now what would be the pros of publishing here rather than pastebin.com for instance?
Re:Show HN: Daily QRCode on Tuesday November 29, 2022 @12:31PM (#33790526)
It's like StumbleUpon, oh good times!
Re:Show HN: I made an API builder for side projects on Saturday November 26, 2022 @12:25PM (#33754630)
it reminds me an early version of Directus https://directus.io/, good job building a headless cms
Re:Show HN: Promptdb.ai – Free prompts for your projects on Thursday November 10, 2022 @12:50AM (#33542774)

Re:Ask HN: Books that teach you to think on Tuesday October 18, 2022 @08:45PM (#33256035)

Re:Ask HN: Books that teach you to think on Tuesday October 18, 2022 @08:42PM (#33256022)
I think all the chapters in it are pg's posts on http://www.paulgraham.com/, aren't they?

Re:Social justice for the bald man on Sunday June 26, 2022 @02:32AM (#31881638)
As a Mexican mid-class bald, I can confirm we are seen with some kind of disrespect.

You have to get money, attitude or being smart to get some authority.

I agree!

You know? When I feel burned out of Java, I usually write a quite simple script in Python and then, normally I get energy to complete my tasks.

I don't imagine myself struggling against the same design patterns in Java when coding in Python.

Thanks for your advice.

I really feel overwhelmed.

I like coding in Python because it makes me feel free from Java stuff, but those patterns have getting me worried.

I'm beginner in Python/Django and to be honest I feel confused since those patterns add complexity to the code.
