As a freelancer based in EU working on some US projects, I'm forced to pay 5.5% fee to PayPal or some fix fee to the banks (SWIFT payment).
Plus conversion fee from USD to EUR (or my local currency).
That's too high for just a simple thing as receiving money from different country. Really looking forward for that Strike Global.

That's gonna be the killer app, low-cost global payments, finally we can accept international payments from non-crypto customers without ridiculous SWIFT or PayPal fees...

You don’t understand. $240K is not cool, $2M is cool.
Good luck with hourly billing to get that kind of money.
The only way to still doing what we love - software engineering (not some kind of managerial, leading, business role) is fixed price and re-selling already implemented stuff (same approach as lawyers).

Yea? What about routing, forms, state, styles encapsulation, code separation to modules, http clients, etc. A lot of choices for new React project, zero choices for Angular === faster startup.

+1, as a Freelancer I always prefer to be paid in cryptocurrencies
