How do you measure whether your coding agent is becoming more effective?

I do my best to clean my repository, remove bad code examples, create lint rules, provide more timely information for my agents, etc... but I haven't figured out how to measure the improvements. Maybe it's moot and measuring the time between the model I'm using and the next is the only stat that matters... how do ya'll think about that problem?

Matt is Automattic's CEO.... I see what you're doing... ;)

We/I want to build useful things. This is a distraction. I believe Automattic is a net benefit for the web and look forward to having more focus to continue delivering on that. Internally, were focused on that.

:) Not sure.
I have worked at Automattic for ~7 years. I don't see the history of bad ideas coming from Burning man.

Matt is always looking for inspiration, as we all should be. Whether it comes from Burning man or elsewhere seems irrelevant.

Re:GitHub Is Becoming a Giant AI Code Dump on Wednesday June 24, 2026 @04:39AM (#48656930)
AI generated code is the new plastic... GitHub is the Pacific Garbage patch.
These "but it's ai" responses are boring. This doesn't read as an AI generated post. It provides concise, useful, source-backed information to communicate an important point. Who caresssssss....

The author does solicit donations via cashapp in multiple posts. Also links to an Amazon birthday wish list which is pretty bizarre...
Great feedback. Appreciate it.

I feel you.

Hey!

1. It surfaces hidden submenu items.

This will immediately give you access to all the navigational links that you wouldn't get access to.

2. It harmonizes tabbing experience visually.

Sites have made a mess of focus indicators, most removing them. This extension will make the active selection more visible.

3. It surfaces the associated link easier.

4. In the near future it will support all HTML elements.

You'll be able to search for the inputs and select the one you choose.

5. It pulls in history/favorite/open tabs/common sites to pull your browsing context into the current tab.

6. It's a more natural flow.

To select a link and follow it with chrome you need to: 1.CMD/CTRL + F 2. Search for link 3. ESC to select the element (esc is a weird key here) 4. Enter

Instead 1.CMD/CTRL + F 2. Search for link 3. TAB to select the element 4. Enter

7. You can see the search results in the result set all at once even if they are far apart on the page.

Show HN: Tell me how my browser extension to help browse websites sux

I am pretty tired of working with web apps that are a disaster to tab through (I'm looking at you AWS & Github), so I rage-coded a chrome browser extension to help me piece up the page and get back to kicking asp (jokes though, hate asp). I think it kind of sux, but that's only my opinion (and maybe since i'm the only user...).Care to share why you think it sux?Landing...

My electric toothbrush is about to get a pretty cool upgrade.

Everything that happens to me is a consequence of decisions I have made based on decisions others have made based on decisions others have made... Everything is playing out how it should.
