Re:Tech Layoffs Surge Past 100,000 on Friday December 12, 2008 @10:07PM (#396429)
100,000 is just a number in "tech" firms, which is a board category. 100,000 is a lot, but not really a lot compare to the current situation of the economy. You should look at how many of those layoffs are strategic, and many of them are just "cutting fats". I assume many company are using the time to cut their fats.

Re:The Silicon Valley VC Disease on Saturday July 26, 2008 @10:50PM (#257971)
Scoble doesn't know anything about VC. They are just the middlemen, they need to report back to their investor. Do you think they risk funding you and take the heat explaining to their investors?

I can criticize bill gates for not investing in my dog breeding business becuase it could get bigger, and keep on whinning, but what is the point?

Re:3 reasons why Knol will beat Wikipedia on Friday July 25, 2008 @06:19PM (#257163)
exactly. Now when people are confused about something, they will go to wiki for validation, even they know it is not 100%. but people do trust it.

If google is able to change the habit to 'xxxx knol', i think google can do anything on the web.

Re:The 10 Top Paid Senior-Level IT Jobs on Thursday June 12, 2008 @06:13PM (#216346)
I would expect a data warehouse manager should make the list, usually they are bosses of data architects. Not many IT jobs needs more political and technological skill that a DW manager.

MA is a true believer in hypes. Can't you see that he is actually enjoying starting link baiting with exaggerating titles? The more bias he is, more ppl visits and comments, and more page view to claim. If you have commented, the chances that you are going back is higher, isn't it?

sounds good, but they are based on free data. If it works out for them, someone will jump it and offer it for free. Even though there is not much reason...
Thanks for the advice~ I would changen it definitely. Gut doesn't sounds good with meet/meat.
hee. I was thinking of gut feeling and meeting people spontaneously. and Gut actually means GOOD in German. Just a bit bkgrnd information.
Good idea. I just did it over the weekend and wasn't ready (no idea) how to make a proper front page. I will work on the front page.

I intended to deliver enough information for user to grab the idea in 3 seconds. But I guess it isn't a good idea after all.
