Re:CERN and Mistral join forces to accelerate AI for science on Monday October 19, 2026 @04:04PM (#50157347)
I like this, and CERN might be closer to a potential European solution for us than you think, CERN was built on the premise that nuclear technology was too dangerous for anyone single nation to have. So they decided to collaborate.

Today they’re one of the biggest compute in the world, they have the strongest data interconnects, multi gigawatts of power and their deeply embedded in science thousands of the greatest scientist in the world work there including thousands on machine learning.

In my opinion, high energy particle physics is a dead end yet still they raise money like nobody in Europe for the next future circular collider they’re asking for close to €100 billion

Clearly, there is a path there where a fraction of that money, infra, and a fraction of the incredible geniouses that work there could be rerouted into a Opus/Mythos/Astra shape open / European system

Positrigo | Software Engineering / Testing&Release | Full-Time | Zurich, Switzerland

Conventional Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is considered the gold standard of functional imaging. However, its broad application is not possible due to high cost and limited availability. We are aiming to make our solutions accessible to everyone. Therefore, they have to be affordable and easy to use to generate social impact.

Functional brain imaging is the core of our HW/SW systems with the goal to improve the clinical pathway of diseases. Starting with our NeuroLF imaging device we will drive to assisted nuclear medicine ML systems. We advance clinical routine and enable translational research in diagnostics, treatment monitoring and the development of new therapies.

We are looking for an Integration/DevOps engineer who will help us build high quality, reliable, secure, and maintainable systems:

Positrigo | Full Stack Software Developer | Zurich | Apply: https://positrigo-ag.breezy.hr/p/234b41567cba-full-stack-sof...

Our vision at Positrigo is to image everyone by bringing nuclear medical imaging to the patients. That is why we work to develop the smallest and most affordable brain PET system - combining cutting-edge medical imaging technology with simplicity to enable the early and reliable detection of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. We are an ETH Zurich spin-off which has just closed its Series A investment round. With your help we want to take our first product NeuroLF to the markets!
