Interesting! It defaults to "search", so it took me a second to understand to actually switch to "ask" in order to use the LLM. I'll check out the github repo to run it myself.

By the way, I wrote a blog post about it here, in case you're interested: https://bjornwikkeling.com/posts/2026050401-tack-pics-mark-c...
You did manage to block scraping/fetching, but Claude can read a screenshot of your page just fine, see: https://i.postimg.cc/BQ9LPK19/claude.png

For a game I'm developing I needed an easy way to create hotspot areas on images. So I hacked together a small tool to do so and before I knew it, I had created an entire app :-)It allows you to generate JSON or YAML from the coordinates you tack on the image. tack runs entirely in your browser, there is no server side component to it, so good in terms of privacy.Hope this is helpful.

I've added one more (major) feature: practice mode. I'll probably add a new post about this in a couple of days, but for those interested, you can already have a look here: https://interactivechordfinder.com/practice/
I've done a couple of updates to the app: - added a transpose section - improved readability by increasing contrast - improved the chord sequencer (a.o. better metronome tone and rhythm) - and many more "micro-tweaks" and improvements

see: https://interactivechordfinder.com/

Yes of course! Thanks for the link.
A bit more on the sequencer: it's not meant for composing full songs, it's a scratchpad for testing chord progressions. You can adjust tempo, time signature, and note length to hear how a progression feels at different speeds and rhythms.

If you change the scale or mode, you can. update the chords (click the update button) to reflect the new diatonic chords, so you can quickly A/B the same progression in, say, Ionian vs. Mixolydian.

I have some ideas for what to add next like for instance PDF export with chords or MIDI export, but I'd rather hear what would actually be useful to you. What would make this tool part of your workflow?

I built a free, browser-based tool for exploring scales, modes, and their diatonic chords. Pick any root note and scale (major, natural minor, all seven modes, and 70+ other scales) and instantly see which chords (triads, 7th, 9th, etc.) belong to that key.It also includes a built-in sequencer so if you've found interesting chords for your scale, you can arrange them into a progression and hear...

Re:Show HN: I created a new game: countdown on Saturday July 19, 2025 @02:56PM (#44618300)
I just created this game that I call countdown. It's really simple to play but actually quite hard to solve. I find it really difficult so I'm curious to read what you think. Let me know.

Re:Introducing the next generation of Mac on Tuesday November 10, 2020 @04:30PM (#25052233)
I was literally about to order a new mac mini, until I noticed it only has 16GB max memory. How can they do this?! The previous model could be upgraded to 64GB, had 4 USB-C connectors (instead of now 2) and the option for faster ethernet. It really sounds like this new mac mini is a downgrade from the previous model. I wonder if the new M1 chip/architecture really makes that much difference to make up for the downgrade of the rest.
Re:Responsive images without JavaScript on Wednesday October 23, 2013 @10:00AM (#6598749)
I thought that, that maximum of 31 stylesheets is only for external stylesheets, the styles in this code are written inline, that should work just fine I think, but I can do some tests to make sure.

Good point, didn't think of that. I am also not sure how important that is.
Re:Chrome removed Apps from new tab, here's a fix on Monday October 21, 2013 @06:42PM (#6588686)
When opening a new tab in Chrome, it used to be that the apps were displayed. However, the recent update of Chrome removed this feature in favour of their search engine page. Completely superfluous, because search can already be performed from the address bar, which Google called the omnibox because of this.
