Thanks Dan. I've designed some visual interfaces for it, but I've been avoiding implementing them. I guess it does put off a lot of visitors, so now is the time.
I have a lot of ideas for new features, but I'd like to know what other people think.
Does anything jump out as an obvious next feature?

The original was "Google is getting better at what Apple does best faster than Apple is getting better at what Google does best."
Truncating the sentence for the title changed the meaning to something much bolder.
In an article about the importance of creativity, it's sad to see a quote promoting drawing over coding.
To me, the use of computers to advance art, taking out as many steps as possible between idea and artwork, is the most exciting way to think about visual art. (I know the article didn't mention visual art specifically, but it seemed to be implied.)
Anyway, the site I've been working on for the past year is based on drawing. You might be interested in trying it out if learning to draw is a goal for you, or if you have ideas related to visual art.

> So that's 40M writes to create an index, or $400!
At $0.10 per 100k writes, 40M would be $40.
I think a platform that makes developers struggle with implementation details and browser quirks is a dead end, no matter what Adobe does.
In my experience, there's a low signal to noise ratio when learning HTML/JS/CSS. A lot of it is learning hacks, as opposed to getting a general sense of how computers work. Flash/AIR are very good in this regard. If Flash disappears tomorrow, I don't think his skills would go to waste.
Why is using a solid platform not a good plan?
The source code is also NSFW: "_analizeColumn"
Detailed and realistic, thank you. And I agree, you should make a blog post about it.
I still used Grooveshark when you guys moved from Flash to HTML5, despite it being a less enjoyable experience. But, when the AIR app became just a wrapper for the HTML5 site, I cancelled my subscription.
It seems like a lot of work went into switching, considering the functionality is still the same as the Flash version. Did any good come out of switching to HTML5?
The title says focusing on HTML5, the article says focusing on native apps with AIR.
"ceasing development" and shifting focus are not the same thing.
Why does an entry titled "Adobe ceases development on mobile browser Flash" link to an article that starts "Our future work with Flash on mobile..."?
I find this API to be "0.0 excellent"
Cool idea, but what do the scores mean?
Having implemented something similar a couple years ago, (

Clearly a good idea... make programming a game. And very good implementation. Nice!
