Re:What's Next for WebGPU on Thursday November 21, 2024 @08:47PM (#42210449)
You should try Chillin(https://chillin.online), browser-based video editor. Powered by WebGL, WASM, and WebCodecs, Chillin provides a full suite of video editing capabilities on the web. Trust me, Chillin is smoother than most native video editors, even on mobile. I believe Chillin can leverage WebGPU to bring even more powerful rendering features.

Yes, running LLMs on the web may not have significant advantages due to the speed limitations, but other models, such as those for bg removal, speech-to-subtitles, and translation, could become practical and efficient thanks to WebGPU.

Web video editor(https://chillin.online), we are eagerly looking forward to the WebGPU API maturing and being extended to all major browsers, enabling faster rendering, bringing more effects, and facilitating the rendering and editing of 3D assets.

Re:Show HN: Repaint – a WebGL based website builder on Tuesday September 03, 2024 @09:13PM (#41440921)
Congrats on launch, fantastic work! The smooth experience is impressive. I launched an online video editor, Chillin - https://chillin.online, which is also WebGL-based and renders very quickly. I'm interested to know if Repaint will migrate to WebGPU, as Chillin is planning to do so. I believe that web apps using WebGPU for rendering can be even faster than native apps!

Chillin - Next-Gen AI Video & Motion Editor, I'm working on the online video editor, https://chillin.online. Chillin has a significant advantage over its competitors(veed.io, clipchamp, capcut online), eg it supports mobile devices, offers full keyframe support, no watermark high-resolution video exports, and supports vector motions. So I feel like I am changing the world through this work.

By re-confirmed, the 36MB ffmpeg.wasm file is compressed by brotli to 9.6 MB as transferred.
Re:JavaScript Bloat in 2024 on Friday February 23, 2024 @04:15AM (#39478553)
Sorry for that, we just focus on js bundle and don't realize how big the ffmepg.wasm is. Thanks for reminding, next step we will try to rebuild ffmepg.wasm and make it smaller.
Re:JavaScript Bloat in 2024 on Thursday February 22, 2024 @11:34PM (#39477009)

I'm curious how much faster rust can be compared to js optimized by the v8 in this example. Can you provide some comparison of performance indicators?
Re:New Era of Video Editing on Friday February 02, 2024 @03:02AM (#39226280)
We refactor the online video editing, hope you can try it!
Re:Flowblade: Open-Source Video Editor on Wednesday January 17, 2024 @11:04AM (#39029533)
Yes, we found that other online video editors are not very usable, pay to remove watermarks, can't be used on mobile and export is very slow etc. So we make chillin,if you want to simply add effects, keyframes, animations, merge several clips, or crop a video, Chillin is a good choice.
Re:Flowblade: Open-Source Video Editor on Wednesday January 17, 2024 @10:39AM (#39029197)
Online video editor here, https://chillin.online, free export with no watermark, easy to use both on desktop and mobile.

https://chillin.online, build with next.js too. I have to say there are some annoying problems with next.js. You should have some tricks to handle them.
