Re:Show HN: 3D models, but they're 100% code on Wednesday August 05, 2026 @07:06AM (#49181123)
Hi HN, I'm Lucas and I've been working on web projects with three.js more and more lately — 2D, 3D, XR — and the one thing I've noticed is the lack of tools compared to game engines. That's why I decided to start building on the side a library of 3D assets that are actually little programs, AI-native, and fully customizable.

I called this Polyfork, and it's already being used by dozens of people that have an AI centric workflow, since the website can be fully understood and used by agents.

Assets are being built each day, at a rate of 100+ a week, and I'm planning to make it the biggest programmatic-3D library on the internet.

The pipeline is agent-driven and almost fully automated, agents write the asset's code, an independent judge scores it against a rubric, and then I approve every asset by hand before it publishes to keep the quality bar.

Happy to answer more questions about how is built!

thanks for the feedback, just tested on my samsung, but smaller screens might be affected, fixing now
thanks for the feedback, I think this is happening on smaller screen phones, I have a samsung. will fix
fair, TBH I'm curious to see the results, that's an assumption and that's why the models are sealed until after jury decides winners (jury will not see what models were used)

In the future, I would like to try to get sponsored credits so everyone can just use the same frontier model.

Hi Aniokono, thanks. The core problem is that I work with clients and public funding, and sometimes these projects run for more than a year and at some point I need to prepare reports of the process and all the work that was done, including prototyping and things that didn't make it to the delieverable.

Hi HN, I'm Lucas. I mostly build XR things, but over the past month or so I've been developing a tool that became necessary for me: I'm usually working on many different things at once, and I needed a way to create reports and check what I worked on last year on a specific day.mydev.day is an automatic development diary that writes itself as you build. You connect your agent to it once per...
