Re:When did the web get do damn complicated? on Monday March 25, 2013 @11:20AM (#5437437)
Great Article. I highly agree. It seems like that all web-related technologies doesn't make our lives easier. Sass, Less, Compass, Rails, Git, Capistrano, Ajax, Rest, ... the list goes on and on.

I wrote a blog post about a similar topic. All these technologies are supposed to make our live easier to produce better products but learning these technologies takes time and therefor money.

But learning all these tools and master them seems impossible. So you have to choose between mastery in a few areas or mediocrity in all.

The question is: Is good enough? http://sebastian-rupp.com/is-good-enough/

Ask HN: How good is good enough to be successful?

I consider myself as a Jack of all trades, master of none.As I go along learning and building stuff, I have to admit that none has turned out the way I wanted it to be - in terms of success (money, popularity,...).Of course I learned new technologies but the implementation never feels as crisp as of other successful companies. There is always so much you could do better, more beautiful and so on...

Re:Build your own Basecamp Breeze in 5 minutes on Sunday March 17, 2013 @11:28AM (#5389513)
Hey! Thanks for your comment. I tried to keep it as simple as possible. I wanted to show that you don't need any coding or use of API keys to copy the whole functionality of Basecamp Breeze.
Re:Is College worth it? on Monday February 25, 2013 @09:07AM (#5278995)
It's my first blog post, so please be kind. Anyway, I think that college will be a waste of time. The problem is not the content but what people think they could do after graduation.
