Re:Why the world should adopt a basic income on Friday July 06, 2018 @11:13PM (#17476753)
Yes. Espectually given advances in automation this looks like the most reasonable path. This solves both the UBI as well as also stops the accumulation of power in hands of few due to efficiencies and scaling factors.
Of late i have noticed is u praise us or condemn other countries you get down voted.

Would be interesting to see birth rate/death rate by race/religion. I think over next 50+ years there will be significant shifts in demographics.
Re:In Denmark, Harsh New Laws for Immigrant ‘Ghettos’ on Tuesday July 03, 2018 @10:26AM (#17450422)
With all due respect blacks are afraid even in their own native land of africa, and similarly muslim in many muslim countries. That along with economical betterment is one of the key reasons why ppl immigrate in first place.
If all governments do that, it will instantly raise humanity’s iq and eq up a notch and help govt get money too.
May be may be not. I wish my teachers would have accepted such answers in my high school
Speaking of pessimism, i just hope we humans destroy each other before we destroy earth to pave way to species which is not so hell bent on personal over society.
Human rights vs protection from criminals/terrorists is a delicate balance. I am curious what are the human rights that get violated by having cameras that identify illegal activities.
Re:Keras vs PyTorch on Thursday June 28, 2018 @07:07AM (#17415841)
Tensorflow also does not work without needing to build urself for my 2010 or so cpu. So i ended up trying pytorch and i am glad i did. Liking it better than esoteric errors.
Comparison to ubuntu is silly. Comparison should be with osx.
So true. China has been waging this quite war for over a decade. Pegging its currency, flooding us market with cheap (and unreliable) good (which are expensive when u consider tco and environment), stealing ip to leapfrog us without needing heavier investment, us loosing manufacturing knowhow, buying off local realestate causing jacked up prices in us. Its unfortunate that we took this lonv to react. Not sure if next administration will keep up this good work to keep china in check.
Re:Facebook abandons Aquila, its internet drone on Tuesday June 26, 2018 @09:48PM (#17405241)
Seems rational. I would not count on fb being abke to compete with fulltime airplane design companies when they started focusing on it. Fb instigated the market, others who are more capable are picking it up, so fb handed over the batton.
It is a solution. Buying real-estate is not as economically productive as say creating a factory. We created factories in china, imported their goods, gave them $$$, with which they are slowly buying america. Remember every time u import, you are selling your country. If its not balanced with exports, you are eventually handing off the country. America was long depending on fooling other countriesby devaluing dollars, but tgat does not work with china.
Trump might impose tariff?
