After we integrated meeting support into https://team.video we made this to allow us to instantly go to the right meeting we're supposed to be in. For example, if I have a zoom meeting happening right now all I have to do is go to https://now.me and I get redirected to the right place.

Very nice - the PIP functionality is something I've been looking forward to with more browser support.
I think there is a lot more that video apps can do to take the edge off or to make people feel more comfortable in meetings. Right now I think most tools are very rudimentary.

Full disclosure, I work for https://team.video and we're trying to make meetings more enjoyable. Just simple things like having built in agendas, games, and non-verbal feedback I think can go a long way to making a remote meeting way less painful and help build trust among your colleagues.

I'm not sure how bash is considered funky, it's nearly first class on all boxes. Nice thing about this tool you just use `script` type out your commands, copy it your modules and your done.
That's a pretty cool project. It also is written in bash as well!

I don't think he's trying to convince you he's not lying, but rather we should promote services that encourage transparency and open standards.

It's not just Chinese laws, Zoom has shutdown accounts of Chinese dissidents who are residing in California.[1] This seems like more than just complying with local laws; it's actively supporting the policy of a government upon people who do not even live there.

Whereby has come a long way, and I recently started using team.video as well. I like both because I can just send a link and have a meeting instantly.
