News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

Everyone, retreat. Nothing to see here :DDD.
People only learn if they feel the heat on themselves. Well, this was "free" security advice for the future.
Because most of these chaps do not read daily news related to their profession.
The safest bet here is to put your money into datacenter infrastructure indexes :D
Re:Starcraft: Ashfall on Sunday November 01, 2026 @06:02PM (#50330812)
No, sorry but you are deliberately trying to whitewash stealing. People got used to expropriate things from others and gain credit from it, pretending to be their intellectual project. How shallow :D.

Btw, why do you want to shit on them? When you haven't seen none of them? :D

Anthropic training data unrecoverably got tainted, need to retrain.

They need to protect the other corporate obelisks.
Re:Serbia just elected the world's brainiest parliament on Saturday October 31, 2026 @12:44PM (#50317723)
Good, next, replace politicians and shitmixers with AI bots.
Re:Malware uses LLMs to rank victims by how much they're worth on Saturday October 31, 2026 @12:42PM (#50317715)
Maybe consume less sensationalist newsbits :P.
You have to do it with a right hand, from under. So this is 100% fake.
Re:The $6.3B Binance Hack Was Pulled Off in Just 20 Minutes on Friday October 30, 2026 @05:05PM (#50310118)
Nah, we have to talk about why head engineers suck at security.
Re:Binance-hacker-1029 – $5.6B stolen from Binance on Friday October 30, 2026 @02:05AM (#50300377)
Security, nobody cares about it.....

Re:StackOverflow now gets fewer than 1000 questions a month on Thursday October 29, 2026 @09:00AM (#50288251)
Yeah, good ol innocent times.
The newer the CC cli is, the more tokens it burns. I use a very old version and killed its "no matter what I'm still gonna autoupdate myself to the latest version", because new ones do all kinds of useless tasks in the background. If you are on a tight budget use an older version (1+ year) of the cc cli, and it saves you a lot of money.
Re:StackOverflow now gets fewer than 1000 questions a month on Thursday October 29, 2026 @08:26AM (#50287849)
It might have happened because there are currents on the net and platforms where the only purpose is to pull out as much data from you and other humans as possible and give back NOTHING. Be wary what you post and about what.

They exploit the basic human needs and build whole exploiting platforms on it and then kick you out from the nest like a cuckoo does with other bird chicks. The abnormal modding and other shenanigans also killed my interest quite quickly, but in hindsight I have to say, good riddance. People are naive and gullible, and give out decades of experience on a whim, because they think that everyone is as good and benevolent as them. While in reality there are a lot of truly evil and selfish people out there and at the end of the day using their knowledge against the good ones.

And now here we are in the AI madness, where a similar exploitation is happening just at a much bigger scale, using the benevolent and naive ones information against them.

160pb in SSD?
Sooo we can conclude most of these trumped up recompilation projects are a coordinated attack, so decision makers could say, we need to protecc ourselves from this thread.

Someone started it, lots of other bored people, followed. Damage done, remedy already in store for gamers.

Maybe read how webfetch and websearch works inside the harnesses.
Re:The HTML-in-Canvas API origin trial on Friday October 23, 2026 @08:45AM (#50208129)
Still, if it wouldn't be there, nobody would notice.... rofl
Re:The HTML-in-Canvas API origin trial on Friday October 23, 2026 @07:01AM (#50207070)
Sadly, nobody cares about these. The whole net is about robbing whatever clothes you are wearing :D.
Re:Someone leaked a Mass Effect 5 trailer and now I feel worse on Thursday October 22, 2026 @11:39PM (#50204231)
Good that they cancelled the thing. It's nothing spectacular. Usual 12 year old kids in adult bodies kinda predigested story with a borderline idiotic setting/universe. Would have burnt in the atmosphere 2 weeks after release. Along the 100 millions it needed.

Look at expedition 33... they jumped ship from Ubisoft, and, well it worked. Small team, with no knitting classes = success.

Let the weenys burn. They gonna never learn how to secure their systems.
Re:Jailbreaking the Switch 2 on Thursday October 22, 2026 @10:59PM (#50204006)
These jailbreak things seem coordinated to me. Hm... someone cannot bear the success of certain companies.
Re:How the eMudrha certificate debacle might have happened on Thursday October 22, 2026 @02:59PM (#50199578)
The guy has a full blown psychopath photo with that uneasy smile on his face.
Give the AI a dog and let's see what happens.
Yep, creative people are rare. And AI neuters the biggest driving factor of creativity, so it could backfire in the long run.
Re:It's still OK to enjoy programming on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @12:16AM (#50161287)
There is a serious oversupply of games. the problem is giving visibility to good games.
Re:It's still OK to enjoy programming on Monday October 19, 2026 @11:35PM (#50161032)
The comments speak for themselves. People are in denial and the funny thing is, they spend money at the companies who make them jobless. You tell this to an extraterrestrial, they wouldn't believe a word of it.
Re:Starcraft: Ashfall on Monday October 19, 2026 @10:25AM (#50152909)
A mix of everything. Stolen from everywhere. We have AI, but people are still the bottleneck. They lack creativity and ideas :D. lol
