Re:Steam5.org – A steam review guessing game on Sunday August 17, 2025 @03:45AM (#44929718)
Hey hackernews,

Ive spent my last week building a little web game, that generates a daily set of games, of which the user should guess the rough review count.

Its built with spring boot and next js.

You can login via steam, to get your score on the leaderboard.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks :)

Loving the ui.

A bit more rich text features for the comments might be nice.

At least on iOS Safari its not responsive. Kind of a no go, sorry.

no its not? From my own bills over the last ten years or so, this figure is pretty spot on.

And I work from home on a gaming desktop...

What does this actually do, other than running lighthouse on my page and displaying the result?
to be honest, if you are using nginx, just use / run https://goaccess.io/ It collects the same information as umami and is even more lightweight, since it just runs whenever you tell it to.

just add the command as a cron job, and you get an auto generated static dashboard. very neat.
