Not familiar with the lavabit story - how did his refusal cost users their privacy?
That is why I also said 50,000 public key operations per second.
Are the JetIntelligence toners the ones that stop working after a certain date? That sounds very sketchy.

I need duplex printing and ethernet. Color not necessary. Ideally under $300. What brands / products should I look at?
This is what I get when I visit your blog: "This request has been denied for security reasons. If you believe this was in error, please contact support."
Solution: block HTTP ads.
With AES-NI, a single modern CPU core can encrypt 10 gigabits/second and do about 50,000 public key operations per second. Cryptography is not that expensive.
I tried that, but I never got an easier captcha even after many attempts.
Sadly this is what I see when I visit your site:

This is what happens when you try to visit this site with Tor:
https://anonm.gr/up/b386.pngCloudflare's captchas are nearly impossible to solve, which means that Tor users are effectively blocked from seeing the site. Would you consider using something other than Cloudflare to host the site?
Will this work on OSX? I have been looking for a lightweight way to sandbox apps on OSX.
If you have a raspberry pi sitting around, you can contribute to the network by setting it up as a non-exit tor relay, which is completely safe.

Most of the top porn sites do not support HTTPS, meaning the exact videos we watch (and our fetishes) are visible to our ISPs. Why haven't porn sites deployed HTTPS to protect this data? How can we convince porn sites that HTTPS is important and get them to deploy it?
