Side note, but I love the animations, code snippet design and typography in this blog post.

Will think about how I can improve my own blog with these ideas.

I was pleased to discover recently that Microsoft PowerToys are a thing again and include a Keyboard Manager utility. It's really simple to use and works flawlessly.

It's nice to use an "official" product to remap the ctrl / cmd keys on my Apple keyboard while using my Windows PC.

Apple Computer already changed its name to Apple in 2007!
Different in what way? Slack has built-in video conferencing?
I’m proud to call this guy my colleague :D
This is a whole professional discipline and should be left as such.

We’re having such a drive in the UK, and my wife is working on the project. It’s called 100,000 genomes and aims to sequence the whole genome of 70,000 patients with rare disease or cancer (the other 30,000 genomes are from tumors), and their families. The ethics of consent and the possibility of incidental findings are all being taken into account.

If we're on the subject of plugs, I wrote Podcast Chart (https://www.podcastchart.com)

Again in Rails, all running on AWS.

If you use the Apple Podcast app you can listen on 1.5x or 2x speed which is useful.
The new Apple Photos app + iPhone 6 = works, flawlessly

Why does your app ask for my location even when i'm not using the app?
Re:Why Baidu Has Been Hijacked to Attack GitHub on Friday March 27, 2015 @10:34AM (#9276490)
Even better, popping up a JS alert stops further JS execution, so this was a clever way for Github to throttle connections (rather than them being made every 2 seconds as per the hijacked Baidu JS)

I really love listening to podcasts at the moment, one of my favourites is the NPR TED Radio Hour.

I've recently built a simple RoR app to display the iTunes Podcast Charts.. http://www.podcastchart.com

I like this alot, would anyone be keen to collaborate on a simple ruby gem to implement this 'tombstone' method?
Re:Show HN: Find bugs before your users do on Monday October 13, 2014 @06:14AM (#8448136)
Looks cool. Spotted a bug.. clicking the link in the sentence.. "Crawling http://www.example.com..." doesn't work.
Re:The Curious Case of iPhone 6+ 1080p Display on Thursday September 11, 2014 @03:51AM (#8301366)
Actually no. The more pixels the screen has the more energy it requires to drive those pixels and so worse battery life. So by having a lower resolution screen and scaling down to fit that screen battery life is improved.
