Re:New Term: “Dark Cloud” on Friday November 08, 2019 @03:05PM (#21486152)
A company deploying any kind of setup, cloud or not, while handling sensitive client data without having done any sort of risk assessment and due diligence is simply negligent and is a sitting duck. This does not require a fancy new term.

This is the result when companies follow each other. We need to see more innovation in authentication and leadership in best practices. Hijacking of phone numbers is not new and devs need to stop shifting liability to phone carriers when authenticating users to every little thing. Phone carriers have no incentive to secure users data or make the user authentication process more stringent. This results in the consumers being at constant risk, which I feel impacts society as a whole.
If you can’t delete, rent it out for abuse. Data will become so unreliable it should hurt their advertising business models. Similar to “social cooling”.

Goodbye AIM, you were the catalyst to my Information Security career. Good times.
Great work, I like the idea of not requiring students to have an account to login, but instead use a code. I also feel as if this is a great way to introduce the youth to the concept of "Code Review" which I believe is critical to secure coding and their future.

To call this "Air-gapped" would be a misnomer.
