Re:Two high-speed trains collide near Toledo, Spain on Wednesday October 28, 2026 @11:17AM (#50275122)
lol this is spain dude. these people are not working long hours
Re:Tesla Roadster on Saturday October 17, 2026 @10:01AM (#50131261)
these comments are so ridiculous ( and probably paid for by competitors ).

Tesla made something actually cool. They did a live of demo of it. No one in these comments or anywhere else on earth could do what they just did. Even if they don't sell a single one they've received billions of views on these videos. Even if it wasn't commercially meaningful ( and of course it isn't given the small output of extremely expensive cars compared to mass manufacturing vehicles ), it's still just cool and props to them for doing something cool. The world needs more cool stuff

What are you talking about re: the battery pack?
Re:Meta and Microsoft Limit Employee Use of Claude AI Tools on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @09:57PM (#50001129)
This is so ridiculous lol. not paying 20 bucks for a sub has to be a handicap
Re:How accurate have Ed Zitron's AI skeptic predictions been? on Wednesday September 02, 2026 @09:47AM (#49536166)
theyre not being subsidized, and no ones using tokens just because.
Re:How accurate have Ed Zitron's AI skeptic predictions been? on Wednesday September 02, 2026 @09:45AM (#49536152)
This reads to me as incredible cope. Maybe not both of these companies but certainly one of them will be enormously valuable, and there will always value in the frontier models even if much of the practical usage can be done locally
Re:I Am Retiring from Tech to Live Offline on Friday May 29, 2026 @11:12AM (#48324127)
Lol, had to tell the internet on his way out huh. He'll be back of course as he clearly values the internet and makes it part of his ego.
Re:Can you reverse engineer our neural network? on Friday February 27, 2026 @01:16PM (#47183622)
Really ignorant take imo. There's so much good technology created because of the wealth created by finance and ads and other boring industries.
LMAO. do you say the same for Rivian or any of the other EV's actually failing?
OK I'm happy to book 10k on this at 10-1. Or whatever the max is you're OK with betting. Prefer just to give to eachother then donate. Please respond if you're serious and we can trade details
OK. Let's do 2028. My charity is myself. I'll also send you 1k if I'm wrong
Will happily take this bet and also happy to 10x it if you want. Would prefer we just pay each other though. You can donate my money if you want
Propose a bet with concrete details and resolutions so we can bet.

For instance, Would you like to bet 1000 dollars Tesla has more unsupervised self driving robotaxis than Waymo at the start of 2027?

I didn't say this year, but lets bet on it?
Funny to see the comments here vs the thread the other day where a Waymo hit a child.

There's no real discussion to be had on any of this. Just people coming in to confirm their biases.

As for me, I'm happy to make and take bets on Tesla beating Waymo. I've heard all these arguments a million times. Bet some money

yeah coding is a lot more fun and useful now
Re:xAI joins SpaceX on Monday February 02, 2026 @11:09PM (#46866374)
truly a braindead argument. probably paid for by a shortseller.
Re:xAI joins SpaceX on Monday February 02, 2026 @08:04PM (#46864839)
>arguably the only decent thing he's produced.

such a hilarious comment / mindset. he made the best selling car in the world 3 years running. neuralink is a great breakthrough. there are a string of accomplishments which individually would be the greatest thing many many people have ever done.

Re:A lot of population numbers are fake on Thursday January 29, 2026 @11:41AM (#46812593)
"It shouldn’t be new to anyone that population data in the poor world is bad" from the same author and same article. but cherry pick away if it makes you feel intelligent.
Re:After two years of vibecoding, I'm back to writing by hand on Tuesday January 27, 2026 @11:33AM (#46782265)
I know these people lol, they are better coders than you
These are the smartest people in tech lol.
OK. Top AI labs have people using llms for 100% of their code. Enjoy writing by hand tho
lol this is capitalism buddy. food delivery exists because people want it and pay for it, you actually don't get a say at all on if it needs to 'go away'.
Re:How the US got left behind in the electric car race on Tuesday October 07, 2025 @01:04PM (#45505738)
lots of byd cars are 1/4th the price so makes sense
Re:How the US got left behind in the electric car race on Tuesday October 07, 2025 @01:04PM (#45505729)
lol downvoted for saying a fact by the Chinese bots and Elon haters. get real
Re:How the US got left behind in the electric car race on Monday October 06, 2025 @03:56PM (#45495564)
weird how the best selling EV in the world and even china is the American Tesla Model Y then
Cruise is basically winding down. Tesla is the other major competitor
Re:I bought the cheapest EV (a used Nissan Leaf) on Friday September 05, 2025 @02:42PM (#45142094)
kind of nuts since a used tesla is within 5k of this
