It's a shame. What I did is installing VimFX, that is e10s ready, and stick around using for some weeks, trying to reproduce the same workflow I have for years with vimperator.
It's a pain at first, but I got used to it and now I don't have to care if vimperator/pentadactyl will be ported or not.

I have the same problem, but since I don't have Amazon here I'm testing different cheap adapters from aliexpress. No luck so far.

I often read about happy x220 and x230 users, but the newer x240/x250/x260 are not mentioned as much. Did the build quality decline after Lenovo took over?

The guys from 'Learning Creative Learning'[1] course argue that you don't need anything besides P2PU, youtube, wikis, gdocs and etc. to have one of those courses.
From their about page:
"Check out our shiny new platform
Actually, don’t, because we didn’t build a shiny new platform. Our platform is the web and we like things distributed and open. We also wanted to create a model that is easy to replicate for anyone. We use off-the-shelf Google+ tools, like Hangouts and Google+ communities; and open source software like the Mechanical MOOC (github). You have no excuse not to build a course like this yourself!"
