I am using Emacs since 10 years, hence I feel like it is now impossible for me to switch back to any other editor.
It brought me back to childhould memories, I remember the songs of the games I played. I wish there were links to all the games's info.
I can code code in C, Python, and Java. But I don't have courage to learn Lisp.
This is really helpful. Beyond that its open LaTeX format can be used for documentation, which I will do for my own work.
You are not required to use emacs for the org mode. Org files can be edited with any flat-text editor (e.g., Vim, Atom, or Visual Studio Code), and many have plugins that help create and manage Org files.
Why not using Org mode files instead of Markdown files?
They have constant income. Their mostly daily gains are coming from liquidating people in futures not matter market crashes or not.
Only thing that drives Ethereum application ecosystem to allow people to gain and ofcourse to lose money. If Ethereum was not attached to financial interest the project would not grow. I believe the ecosystem and everything, it's all a scam. The platform, new emerging projects, all ads are serving exchanges to liquadate people and gain money and destroy their lives.
I don't have much time (only 2 semesters) left in the program to switch into new advisor, changing subject and write new proposal. Sadly, I had a change to switch my advisor right before covid started but naively I did not take it.
Maybe starting PhD in different university and country is an option but there is much will left in me to move on.
What will happen when the party currently in charge change? Will he still be untouchable?

I am average student completed my under-grad and grad studies successfully. I am doing PhD since mid 2015 (~7 years now).I was a hard-working student. I was a self-motivated student always wanted to do PhD and stay in Academia. I was hoping somehow my work will help to people. If I compare playing tennis to a PhD studies, I feel like my advisor is breaking my racket to motivate me and I cannot...
The site is golden. Minor suggestion, count down during the halftime break might be helpful.
It would be nice if the date of the upcoming matches also shown.
There is no way you can complete Quake on Nightmare using Apple Watch.
My reply will not meant to convince you because I agree with you :-)
> "The day comes where you continue doubling down and you lose a substantial amount of capital in the process."
- I believe that continue doubling is one of the most fatal stratetegy. Sadly, I made this mistake multiple times, which caused me a extensive loss. The only solution I come up is, while continuing doubling, cut loss if there is a certain amount loss reached (like 10$ or 1% of the capital). That was the actualy reason I implemented the bot where it automatically closes the position for me;
since in a loss , "fear" does not let me realize what's happening and instead of a cut loss I adding more into a losing trade.
I was experimenting in Binance Spot.I don't believe it out-performs the market, but it can survive when market crashes since the bot is not greedy.
The bot opens up to 20 positions in parallel each starts with 2$ and always limit order with 0.5% profit. Some positions close itself in few seconds some remain for a day.
If there is -5% loss on a position, I added up the amount of the position and re-order limit order with 0.5% gain. Let's say for 2$ position if there is 5% loss, I add 2$ more, than 4$ ... The position size grows as 2 => 4 => 8 => 16 ... with updated limit order for each. I observe that eventually position close it self with profit.
The bot trades on the Binance spot, fee is 0.10%.
In trading, I realize I always made loses when my emotions get involved. So I decided to implement a trading-bot in Python for fun. It took 1.5 years of development. The bot can open ~100 positions each day and closing all with 1 cent gain (in total ~1$ profit per day). At least its nice to see something I made can make some money even its amount pretty small.
Where would be his grave?
In future it would be cool to see integration of Emacs's org-mode agenda
I did lose money, even when I shorted with 1x leverage. The crypto pumped 3x in few hours. Sometimes trading against Binance's bots like playing chess against a chess master who cheats a lot. But with smart moves, some luck and patience there are some trading enterance points that may bring you some gains.
People still can get rich when BTC drops, if they shorted the market.
The original question I asked was: "How can I define programming struct variables as mathematical notation?".
Same question was asked to Math Stack Exchange, downvoted to -5 and deleted.
Re-asked Link:
https://cs.stackexchange.com/questions/149204/how-can-i-defi...In past, during my master studies, I reach to a Professor about guidance and his response was:
"Unfortunately I cannot do code-checking for you. Please
understand. This is absolutely not my duty, but your supervisor's. I am
sorry."
Since then I pull myself back and ask direct help. But a year later when I told him that I somehow complete my work his summary of response was:
"Generally speaking (concerning your situation as a "lone fighter" without much help from your personal environment) -- admire you for how far you have reached."
Hence, I am experiencing the same situation as a PhD student. I cannot even get real time feedback on the proper terminology from my PhD advisor. He laughs at me saying highschool students even know this and throws his other students' papers or heavy Algorithms book at me to learn from.
Because I was not able to properly explain my code using math notation, he gave me an "F" in my semester progress just to motivate me.
Overall, reaching out for help using "Stack exchange" was the only place I felt safe even though I get scared sometimes to ask questions.
I am CS student. I was having hard time in writing math notations, since I think in programming concept. For this when I ask question at Math Stack Exchange, I always get lynch by them, my questions usually deleted in few hours, now I am scared to ask questions at.
It does not show the amount of time each user spend on facebook.
He created facebook but over time the number of people using it dramatically decreased and it will never be same again. All the ads make me feel controlled by their product.
Everday I ask this question to myself. Will the world a better place without Facebook and Instagram?
When I re-read your commit with clear mind, your advicesa are valuable. I am sorry for my previous comment taking it personally.
" What you need to do is stop feeling responsible for things you have no power over."
I believe that's a wrong mentality, hence that's actually how my Ph.D. advisior does to me and its pretty painful on my end. My advisor does exactly your advice as he just stop caring about me and focus on his projects success. Probably he thinks that "I have no power over my student's success or process so I just stop being responsible about it to be not stress out.".
I think you have power over to help others and communicate the way you feel about your situation right away.
Video games are addictive at least the ones that you play for hunders of hours, I know from myself.
