Re:Scaling Git at OpenAI on Tuesday November 03, 2026 @01:50AM (#50348876)
They should move to the Google model. It’s so much nicer not having to worry about all of Git’s complexity and footguns error states.
In online communities right now there’s a lot of demand for evidence of LLM capabilities being overblown. It’s unfortunate that even if the steal my bitcoin creator apologizes for spreading misinformation due to incompetence, the truth won’t be spread as widely.

Lots of commenters here are confused by Luna, Terra, and Sol still haha.
Re:PHP2Shell: AI uncovers critical RCE in PHP on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @11:32AM (#50182727)
How is a bug that was patched six years ago causing RCE today? Not sure your link is correct.
Re:AI is a tool and using it well takes skill on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @11:30AM (#50073294)
You also need to be able to type on a keyboard or speak to the AI to prompt it. That’s a skill too.
Re:How Effective Altruism Conquered the World on Sunday October 04, 2026 @05:09PM (#49957906)
This is a motte and bailey fallacy. I don’t think many people take issue with feeding the hungry. However the longtermist sect and their idea that enriching yourself as much as people so you can do more good later leads to the actual controversial actions especially when taken to its logical extremes. And the AI fanaticism got mixed in there somehow.
Re:Greg Kroah-Hartman – Security in the LLM Age [video] on Saturday October 03, 2026 @12:59PM (#49945902)
Maybe I’m just naive but this breakdown signals a shocking lack of due diligence from anthropic. Did they put any effort into verifying these alleged bugs before sending them to maintainers?
Everything is a conspiracy. The elites refuse to wave their increase-manufacturing-capacity-instantly wands.
Re:Apple Watch Series 12 on Wednesday September 09, 2026 @03:07PM (#49632365)
Phone can be used for that. No need for it on a watch
Re:The hardest working font in Manhattan (2025) on Wednesday August 12, 2026 @01:04AM (#49268002)
There's 600 photos and one 500 MB video. It seems like they are being served directly from the owner's Apache server from response headers. Server could be overloaded?
Good insights from Claude

Re:Uncovering insiders and alpha on Polymarket with AI on Friday February 20, 2026 @05:28PM (#47094885)
It’s a gambling site. The motivation behind it is to make money through transaction fees. You can bet on sports games too.
Bazinga!
Perplexity claims that you can “use the following robots.txt tags to manage how their sites and content interact with Perplexity.” https://docs.perplexity.ai/guides/bots

Their fetcher (not crawler) has user agent Perplexity-User. Since the fetching is user-requested, it ignores robots.txt . In the article, it discusses how blocking the “Perplexity-User” user agent doesn’t actually work, and how perplexity uses an anonymous user agent to avoid being blocked.

Looks pretty great so far. Reminds me of playing Red Faction as a kid
Re:How Anthropic teams use Claude Code on Thursday July 24, 2025 @11:47PM (#44679396)
The MCP documentation site has the same problem. It’s basically just a list of bullet points without any details
Re:Tough news for our UK users on Sunday July 20, 2025 @05:35PM (#44629520)
“this is not just content moderation - it is a complete regulatory framework that assumes every platform is a tech giant.”
Re:Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 Incident on July 14, 2025 on Wednesday July 16, 2025 @04:11AM (#44579858)
So someone just started advertising the prefix when it was up for grabs? That’s pretty funny

Nothing about testing a home made self driving car on the Highway either
I hope you’re right
Realistic AI video generation will put us firmly in a post-truth era. If those videos were 25% more realistic it would be indistinguishable from a real interview.

The speed with which you’ll be able to create and disseminate propaganda is mind blowing. Imagine what a 3 letter agency could do with their level of resources.
