i like using /remote-control to keep vibe dev running smoothly against my usage limits and deadlines
my 2 cents is that a new tech node is harder to produce variants on. it's easier to make new flavors of a mature tech node
Re:AI companies are buying the Slack data of failed startups on Thursday April 16, 2026 @10:44PM (#47801957)

i started frequenting hackernews because i knew that tutorials written by developers would start making sense if i just kept trying to read them. it worked!! took a few years though.

you can disable it and have classic Siri. it's also not currently possible to enable apple intelligence if the phone language is not English. (but apps can be set to different languages)
it's great at offering alternative perspectives
i find myself in a similar sounding role, i don't have answers for you though. i'm wondering, do you use git for version control and repositories?
this couldnt have been released at a better time for me! really needed a library like this.

Re:Challenges with semantic search on transcribed audio files on Friday December 29, 2023 @10:24PM (#38812587)
why not overlap the subtitle excerpts for complete selection options? may be able to have very confident results too. if removing blob conversion speeds it up, is it now fast enough that doubling the table's length is worth it to improve quality? could go for triple overlap?
Re:PysimpleGUI on Saturday December 09, 2023 @02:16PM (#38584901)
i haven't used this pyinstaller gui, but for my purposes (internal python 3.8) i just set up a batch script for each project to have a single command to make my executable. i've also had to do some wrestling with pyinstaller for specific features, not sure how much the pyinstaller gui helps iron those issues out.
Re:Now that cars are like smartphones, we don't really own them on Saturday November 11, 2023 @04:54PM (#38234944)
Newer cars are far safer. According to NHTSA, occupant fatality rate per 100k cars in 1997 was 17.81 and was 10.05 in 2017 https://www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.gov/files/documents/newer-...

Re:I Won't Deliberately Use AI for Programming on Thursday August 24, 2023 @09:28AM (#37248522)
i think everyone learns differently, and one person's "toggling between 30 tabs" is another's "having this explained to me personally over and over"

hello!! i sent an email to [email protected] but if there's a better address to reach you, i'd love to get in touch for gratitude and feedback :)

Re:A Brief History of Semiconductor Packaging [video] on Thursday April 06, 2023 @07:18AM (#35466841)
What's the alternative to education in this subject? What's the purpose of comparing it to professional education? I work in a fab and never learned this history. I've encountered a single person outside of work with interest in my industry and it's because he watches this channel. I think this comment is sour on youtube for education, which sucks, because youtube is one of the most accessible tools for education today.
