Re:Apple Pass Designer on Friday October 02, 2026 @05:18PM (#49938709)
Another artificial and pointless concept to make people subjected to Apple
Re:Google's Open Agentic Orchestrator on Sunday September 20, 2026 @07:58PM (#49781440)
Why kubernetes? Seems like an overload
Re:A Kantian Critique of "Sorry" by Justin Bieber on Saturday August 22, 2026 @11:10AM (#49400570)
Good. We can move to Bruno Mars now
Re:Google Search lets creators know more about their reach on Saturday July 11, 2026 @03:20PM (#48874931)
Thank you Google for giving us subpar suggestions while making a fortune
I stick to Alfred
Re:OpenRouter raises $113M Series B on Sunday May 31, 2026 @12:24AM (#48343022)
Tried using the service and immediately switched off noticing the delay and unreliability of the proxy
I really love this. It beats paid apps for screen recordings, and best of all - it’s free and open source
Re:How we rebuilt Next.js with AI in one week on Tuesday February 24, 2026 @05:35PM (#47144301)
Next-js team is a bunch of inexperienced teens who like good looking UIs and their lousy platform to upsell their services. Very glad to see this
Does your service require access to the code? Could you explain what trust specifically is required - is there anything else besides messages / chat history that you store and how long you retain those?
If you can improve over existing user experience of other tools, this is certainly worth the price.

How are you handling private data and chats transmitted?

Re:Software Engineering Is Back on Saturday February 07, 2026 @10:36AM (#46924668)
Mindblowing observations.
It sounds like an interesting experiment that you're doing. Are there any plans to support cli mode? Many developer are reluctant of VS code and other slow IDEs
Re:It's ~2026 –. ChatGPT still doesn't allow email change on Monday December 08, 2025 @06:41PM (#46199253)
Change the provider, and problem is solved.
Re:Leaving Intel on Saturday December 06, 2025 @09:39AM (#46173683)
Who cares?
Re:We Built the v0 iOS App on Monday December 01, 2025 @04:43PM (#46113677)
I have tried the app but the experience is quite bad. The output broke half-way with a red message, the produced design was subpar
You completely neglected the egress cost for DO, and also the time / maintenance needed, which makes this a poorly engineered fantasy
Re:Azure hit by 15 Tbps DDoS attack using 500k IP addresses on Monday November 17, 2025 @06:46PM (#45959789)
What difference would it make?
How does it compare to other alternatives such as Alternet and Izvir?
Re:Zed is now available on Windows on Wednesday October 15, 2025 @07:24PM (#45599555)
First, you should fix fundamental operations on Mac and other distributions - for example when you stash or perform operations on files from other tools, it will put the state out of sync.

You can build the most beautiful and fastest IDE, but with this bugs, it’s useless

Interesting tool. Would love to contribute
Re:PayPal to support Ethereum and Bitcoin on Monday September 15, 2025 @11:59AM (#45251287)
I find it hard to trust and believe any corporation incapable of rendering a responsive website on mobile
Re:Next.js Is Infuriating on Tuesday September 02, 2025 @08:30AM (#45102239)
I’ve always felt that Vercel’s way has had fundamental flaws at its core “philosophy” and their approach to creating shiny objects from outside that stink from inside.

Unfortunately incompetence of developers to see beyond has brought the web to the point that every React developer has dealt with Nextjs at some point.

What are the alternatives beyond Vite and Remix?

It’s interesting to see the emerging music platforms focused on this type of experience such as Formaviva.com and Deepwave
Re:Study: Social media probably can't be fixed on Thursday August 14, 2025 @03:34AM (#44897744)
There are some social media networks that promise to do so - for example https://izvir.org is one of them
Tried both Jules and Gemini CLI, heavily advertised and disappointing. Running it on any slightly more complex codebase, it will crash every few iterations and then complain I have drained all the credits (although it hasn’t done anything yet), not close to live up any basic expectations to their advertised generosity. Disappointing experience
Re:6 Weeks of Claude Code on Sunday August 03, 2025 @05:48PM (#44780124)
Sad, but very true observation

Restoring OVH VPS with non-profit directory of doctors

Hi HN,We’re in urgent need of help with our OVH account, which was locked due to a billing issue. The account hosted a non-profit public directory of medical professionals—a community-driven platform helping people find trusted doctors, with thousands of unique comments and contributions from users. We had also been paying OVH for backups, but it turns out that this was the only backup, and...
