Paypal, where's your AI model abstraction layer?
Kudos to Ferrari trying to stay modern with a collab with one of the best industrial designers of the moment. But this feels antithetical to Ferrari, it's bland and utilitarian where they should be channeling flair and evocative designs.

I've recently re-instated a Photoshop subscription and its now part of my core AI generated asset workflow. AI is fantastic at art direction but it needs minor adjustments to make it production ready. E.g putting real screenshots in with correct placement, smoothing, editing out artefacts etc.
I can't imagine the lengths I'd have to go to to instruct an LLM to do these tasks with words.
We've recently been without water in the UK for 5 days (water company failings). I've come to appreciate mains water and how its utility is hard felt by omission for toilets, washing & cleaning. Immensely grateful to have it back now.
Hi, it's not an exact science but i'd take it to mean a max 2 hour train journey. Else days have to be cut short to account for transport faff.

Is this intellectual fatigue not part of all paradigm shifts? Semi-serious question.
Apply Chesterton's Fence principle and assume there are (hopefully) comments in the real code around why this has been put in place
interestingly bq.co.uk redirects to diy.com though that doesn't mean they own it
This triggered following a shallow rabbit hole through their history. It's a nice double meaning to incorporate their initials (Blimie & Herman) and heritage in one brand name.
An example of a premium domain that confuses me is diy.com. Owned by B&Q. Sure it's a good vanity flex but at the cost of your brand name?
The same brand predicament must be true of whatever prospects milk.com has.
Similar points were covered in the recent Tyler Cowen podcast with Tobi Lütke[1] regarding economic stagnation in Canada & Germany (relative to the US).
The UK has a cynical view on progress, likely leading to a self-fulfilling prophecy. The US seems to have a contrasting view with an optimistic by default outlook.

I call this program in one's head "suspended comprehension" as it has a degree of transience and fragility that requires effort to resume where you left off.
I don't suppose it's a problem that can be fully solved; just an ongoing arms race.
The hardest part is not deterring genuine users at such a decisive consideration stage.

I've been running digital marketing on a few projects and all seem to suffer from many "spam" signups.I can only assume the main intent is to find exploits with email and billing systems but there's a long list of other nefarious activity that could be at play.I've set up a custom tool to monitor and prevent suspicious signups (looking at email deliverability, light identity checks and some AI...
A bit of a curveball I spotted was professional skill marketplaces like
https://www.bark.com/en/gb/software-development/ which, when on the platform, you'll find people posting their esoteric software dev requests which could lead to some interesting gigs.

Without knowing the security measures in place, it strikes me as a ripe vulnerability to any determined nefarious actor to destroy or infiltrate this submersible data centre.

Complete sidenote but I'm an accidental fan of Sandwich (video production company) and the promo video in this did not disappoint.
It looks like a roundabout (rotary) intersection would be a more optimal solution.

I had this belief that my kids needed their own rooms but two of my kids seem firm they want to share (bunk bed available). If nothing else it's a luxury that they have a space to retreat to if they seek solace but they seldom do this.
Seems like a pretty unceremonious ousting. Bravo to Adam for what he achieved
The biggest wow factor was the effect of reducing latency followed in a close second by the friendly human personality. There's an uncanny valley barrier but this feels like a short-term teething problem.
