I completely agree. I use Trello myself.. I got excited with Firebase and how easy it makes creating a real-time task list management system. That was what the post was supposed to highlight..

I just got the heading wrong I guess... It was really exciting to venture into real-time apps and I could see the demo being extended into a Trello like application.

You can actually extend the functionality quite easily to create a Trello like task management tool.

I changed it to "mini" Trello to make it more clear...

Thanks a lot! The basic idea was to help developers like myself who are not very great with front-end development but have a good back-end knowledge. Once I started developing it (and picked up front-end development along the way), I realised that the even developers who have fair knowledge of the front-end part can really utilise a browser based tool for visual CSS development since a lot of us use browser tools like Firebug and Chrome developer tools which tend to get quite limited.

So yeah, that's how the idea evolved and I started creating a visual editing tool that not only helps developers with visual development but also provides a more extensive browser based coding IDE.

Browser plays an integral role in most of the web development cycle and so if we can combine the development and testing process and create a more streamlined Test Driven Development flow, it save a huge amount of time.. especially when it comes to responsive web development..

The way I envision it is to create a full stack development IDE inside the browser itself; so the only developer tool anyone would need is just a browser.. HTML/CSS/Javascript/Database+Server-Side Programming.

So yeah, to come back to the question...I am targeting mostly developers (majorly freelancers) right now.. who have a lot of work load and can actually benefit by saving a lot of time by using StackHive.. After that I think there is a great opportunity to bring on Designers onboard as well and create the full web development ecosystem inside the browser :)

(For the slow rendering, I made a temporary fix for now.. sorry about that.. should be able to get it in the groove in a few hours!)

CSS has always been developed in a partial visual manner with in-browser tools like firebug, inspect element etc. We try out different variations until we find the "one" and copy back the code to the source files.

There are numerous tools in the market that help in creating HTML but none actually focus on the CSS. Now with CSS3, we can free ourselves from the Photoshop and image hacks but we still lack a platform that could help us easily build CSS on top of HTML.

As a solution to this problem I have developed dockPHP, a browser based tool that helps developers and designers to reduce their development time by using a visual interface. This tool enables them to eliminate the repetitive and tedious tasks involved in web development.

dockPHP is coupled with Bootstrap and helps you in extending it easily by building your own custom CSS (visually) on top of it. Powered with a drag and drop editor, it allows you to quickly create HTML components and style them easily. For example, you can create a navbar and easily change the background color, font, hover color for the links etc. It also allows you to export the HTML/CSS files which can be used directly in your system or extended as per need.
