I am still working on MyTinyCafé
https://mytinycafe.com/ a PWA to help you be the barista at home and take (free) online order from friends and family. It is fun and I am happy to share it for free !
And also Kronikle https://www.kronikle.eu/en/ an app for local libraries. It creates public display interfaces that (I think) are good for showcasing their events.
I have been trying to stick with a DeepSeek+ OpenCode setup for the whole week, but seems like my subsidized Claude Max is still quite relevant

Well things may change soon. I've been testing Coding fulltime with Deepseek Flash this week to evaluate an eventual shift for the whole company away from anthropic. It has been quite positive and I can't wait to try pro tomorrow. If our data has to be used by either US or China, we might as well go the cheaper and unwalled garden. If only it supported image input ...
I remember 15 years ago or so, one of my first student job was to evaluate Bing results compared to the same query on Google. Didn't know then that I was a distillation attacker.
Given that from 2026 onwards most of the code is going to be computer generated, doesn't it open some interesting implications there ?
Yeah I often find myself with this need too and I really didn't want to open a huge Electron app each time I need to visualize or edit a simple md file.
Claude helped me vibe code a small rust editor : https://github.com/Karalix/markzap it's tuned to my usage, you should make your own too !
It is far from fine. It was my little dirty project where I knew there was only 3 users and where I could be finally escape the usual process from my professional life.
But heh, now is the Time for me to patch all the hole I left. Lots of coffees depend on me now.
Just had a look at the control code. I must have been drunk because it is totally idiotic. I am surprised it took that long for it to be reported on HN
The "what should we eat" problem was a big source of tension in our household since the arrival of our first child. Too much time-consuming, too much planning effort. What changed our life (and I really mean it) is the app
https://jow.com: it suggests you a list of meals for the week suited to your family and equipment, and it creates a shopping list for your preferred delivery provider. I only have good things to say about it and could go on for hours.
I really love the idea of an ecosystem of Apps Powered by Parents (APPs). Please reach out if you ever plan to implement it!
Yes, the url is public :)
If there's a demand for it to become open-source, why not? But I'll have to improve code quality first. As the presence of french labels indicates it, i18n is not properly implemented for this project.
That's a nice idea ! Will definetly add it soon.
And for the food, one can already add anything, it's just a text field. A friend of mine only has alcoholic drinks and snacks on his menu page.
https://mytinycafe.com/An PWA primarily for my wife and my daughter. They can order their hot chocolate and their coffee as if they were going to grab something at a fancy café downtown, but instead it's at home and I'm the barista. It is quite nice to have for when my wife comes back from work and want something specific, or when we are waiting for the visit of a few friend, they can order exactly the available beverages and everything is ready when they're here.
It was also a good playground for me to implement Web Push notifications (to never miss new orders).
It's a basic Nuxt 3 app with Appwrite as the backend with rough edges, but much enough for our household use !
If you want to spam my phone with notifications, please visit my café : https://mytinycafe.com/alix
A web app for my wife and my friends so they can order hot drinks when they are coming to my home.
Still quite early in the development but if you want to make my phone ring you can place an order on this page : https://micro-cafe.nuxt.dev/alix
You won't see your placed order nor get served however.

Concordia Venus is an all time favorite here. I love it's balance between deck-building and worker placement mechanisms.
Just discovered Hansa Teutonica last week and it looks very interesting although the first game was frustrating as there is a lot to learn.
They definetly should publish those points out in the open. After reading this, it just make sense they are dropping SMS, as infuriating as it is. Thanks for the link.
Great work, it is very easy to understand but challenging enough to be rewarding. A puzzle once a day with a timer or an action counter to compare with your friend could be quite successful!

My account was repeatedly used to leave fake reviews on products I never bought.
I always had 2FA and strong password.
I tried to reach out to Amazon as a well as standard procedures for this kind of situztion, but faced only generic responses. Tried to recreate an account, the problem did not stop. Google results told me I was not alone stuck with this kind of experience.
I definitely closed my account, said farewell to my Kindle library and only use my spouse account when I need to buy some electronics for which Amazon provide a stellar customer service around here.
So yeah, Amazon lost me and I have zero confidence in the security of the platform and the legitimity of the reviews.
What a surprise reading your comment citing Nightwish! When I read the post headline, I immediately thought about the Nightwish song "Amaranth". It was really the most powerful, memorable and long lasting frisson I had ever experienced.
https://krlx.frIt is the most basic forum of a website, but so useful for sharing bao recipes with students and links with friends. Or the other way around. My emphasis was on designing something humble (as I was just starting my PhD program) and comfortable to read.
It is really funny to see so many people disagreeing in the comments over the suitability of this meal. Are you sure you're not talking about spaces and tabs?
Jokes asides, if you get the chance to taste some French Tacos, the "Gratiné" option, if available, adds grilled cheese on top and that's amazing.
Until today, my fav is the "Indy" option from Hamamet in Lyon (Charpennes) , that comes with additional slices of goat cheese and black olives. The absolute best to ruin the benefits of the running you did just before.
Can't believe Yunohost isn't more cited in this thread. I had to setup a whole productivity suite a few weeks ago, it took me less than 2 hours with everything right.
I am particularly impressed by the easiness of the update process.
