Somehow your reply goes against the community standards but the admins are ok with it

How hard is it to accept that someone thinks differently than you without dropping to insults immediately?

Democratic cries bring tears to my eyes, the happy ones.

But... Can it draw a pelican on bicycles?
Waited for the conspiracy theorists. Well, blaming the jews never gets old.
Meaning what?
Re:Updated Google Maps shows destruction of the city of Rafah on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @01:17AM (#49904635)
As for the rest of your comment I'll repeat what's been flagged: If you start a war, and you lose a war, be ready to pay the price. The comparison between Rafah and Drezden is valid.
Re:Updated Google Maps shows destruction of the city of Rafah on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @01:12AM (#49904608)
My reply cirrently have -1 points, being it flagged and hidden is a shame and disgrace to how open minded hackernews works to silence other voices, so much for the support of free speech. Since it's not the first time this is happening here, I think @dang should put some more efforts to community standards and how censoring posts works that don't align automatically with the mob,. As for the immediate wave of downvotes to silence me, I find this as an honor, specifically when looking back at my comment and finding nothing wrong with it, except again, not swimming with the other fish in the hn river.

Tou cannot "invade" an unoccupied land. Israel pre-48 already had Jews living under a british mandate, and got the declaration of indepence approved by the UN. So either you trust the UN, or support British colonialism, just find your stance.
Re:Updated Google Maps shows destruction of the city of Rafah on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @03:40PM (#49899210)
Well, the day I see you protesting against Egypt and blaming them for the situation in Gaza I might consider respecting you more. Until this happens my only suspicion is that "the jews are to blame" chant is from antisemitic reasons. btw, and regardless of the Egypt issue, I'd argue there was a famine in Gaza before 7/10 and per the UN absolutely not today. Thus the barbaric October 7 attack had nothing to do with the health or wealth state of the people in Gaza. For comparison, the palestinoans in Judea and Samaria who are controlled by the Palestinian Authorithy are living relatively good, so if some to blame for anything in Gaza, is the the Hamas terror organization who violently took over the strip.
Re:Updated Google Maps shows destruction of the city of Rafah on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @08:48AM (#49892305)
Well, historically the land was Israel, and at the 1948 time the land was under British mandate, so factually speaking, the jewish people actually returned to their homeland and freed it from the British colonizers
Re:Updated Google Maps shows destruction of the city of Rafah on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @08:28AM (#49892069)
The 1948 war between the newly formed Israel vs Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon? Do you notice which imaginary country you suggest about is missing from the list?
Re:Updated Google Maps shows destruction of the city of Rafah on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @08:17AM (#49891922)
Which side starved and cut water? Are you talking about the Egyptians who have a border with Gaza?
Re:Updated Google Maps shows destruction of the city of Rafah on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @08:15AM (#49891898)
Never in history people faked facts as fast as you do now when saying Israel started Oct 7 war. Not to mention it's modern times and everything was live broadcasted to YouTube by the murderers themselves, this makes you even a bigger liar.
Re:Updated Google Maps shows destruction of the city of Rafah on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @08:11AM (#49891842)
My ancestors been to this land long before Muhammad married Aisha and sent the colonizers from the Arab peninsula to the shores of the Mediterranean sea.
Re:Updated Google Maps shows destruction of the city of Rafah on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @03:19AM (#49889404)
Against whom? The British mandate?
Re:Updated Google Maps shows destruction of the city of Rafah on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @02:41AM (#49889111)
Rafah is like Nazi Germany Dresden. You start a war, You Lose a war, You pay the price.

Re:XCancel Taken Down Again on Monday September 14, 2026 @06:14AM (#49694498)
Not a popular question here, but what's the difference between xcancel or archive.org, and torrents and other pirate services alike? (except twitter is user content, yet per their tos xcancel is still piracy)

Re:Eight Myths on Software Engineering and GenAI on Wednesday August 05, 2026 @05:17AM (#49180423)
It's kind of weird how we blame agents for hallucinations as if humans don't fall for that as well, while agents can run the build-fail-fix-repeat in much faster cycles than coders.
Re:7.1 Earthquake in Japan on Tuesday July 28, 2026 @05:55AM (#49081610)
And what if I don't have a family there but just curious how the locals from our hackernews community are doing ?
Nice work, but only 30 incidents is a very small sample to learn from
