What from I grok the guy requesting JSON-LD wants this functionality
Can't see the content without signing up (regardless of email). Bye.
Re:Total.js Messenger – A small alternative to Slack on Friday May 05, 2017 @08:09AM (#14272782)
I already spot an inconsistency on the first image

Some posts say Members / Developers like a full path, but the likes just say "Developers" with a link

I believe this is called an event planner?
I'd be nice if I could use the color locking thing on an uploaded image. I'd like to start with some base colors from a movie/game/etc and start exploring the color range with the AI.
Re:LA Times and ads on Saturday March 25, 2017 @08:07PM (#13958190)
Thats actually a really smart idea. You get the benefit of ads but also pay for the bandwidth they consume the ad delivery network
Re:Programming Languages Influence Network on Saturday March 25, 2017 @07:18PM (#13958037)
I was expecting this to be a connection between what languages i work / research in and how healthy my professional network is
Re:Show HN: Generate a quiz from a Wikipedia page on Sunday February 19, 2017 @11:30AM (#13680435)
A novel idea but the example screenshot looks really trivial. I'm not sure that it is Triumph but it being in the question narrows it down.
Re:Amazon Chime on Tuesday February 14, 2017 @06:56AM (#13642894)
I hope they don't get in the habbit of releasing -ime products. Wow that's old already
Re:Save Mozilla Firefox's Best Feature on Saturday February 04, 2017 @11:03AM (#13567396)
I need to make a change.org account to sign a petition? That's stupid.
Re:The foundation of a more secure web: Google Trust Services on Thursday January 26, 2017 @07:12PM (#13496643)
On that note it would be really interesting to see the percentage breakdown of who's IP made your phone/laptop/etc
My first company was consumed by technical debt. We all bickered about refactoring the database schema and improving the code, but investors wanted more "rooftops" (customers) now.

The company IP and employees were absorbed by the highest bidder and the company lost its funding after the CEO and CTO left.

Re:Richard Stallman: Reasons Not to Use Netflix on Saturday January 07, 2017 @11:18AM (#13344820)
> If I use someone else's cell phone, that doesn't give Big Brother any information about me

I feel he misunderstands the concept of Big Brother. It doesn't matter if there's a screen in the wall, in your pocket, or nothing at all and you're alone in the woods; Big Brother knows.

Re:Parsing malformed JSON on Thursday November 17, 2016 @12:53PM (#12979680)
But then we add the IE-nightmare of using an accepted user-agent in a new product to workaround cases like this
Re:Stamp design errors on Thursday November 10, 2016 @02:15PM (#12923283)
Here is a application to be a teacher dated 2016. Seems relevant considering the stamp http://www.government.pn/EO%20Ad%202017.pdf
Re:Introducing TJSON, a stricter, typed form of JSON on Wednesday November 02, 2016 @03:59PM (#12858692)
This. From a purely semantic point of view it seems odd
Re:Introducing TJSON, a stricter, typed form of JSON on Wednesday November 02, 2016 @02:51PM (#12858035)
Why don't float types use a tagged string? It says "tagging is mandatory" in the initial document, but floating point types are then omitted in the official spec
But half the point is audio?
Re:Security experts have cloned all seven TSA master keys on Wednesday July 27, 2016 @09:33PM (#12177783)
At first glance I thought this was referring to the TLS master key certs.
Re:Why do we keep building rotten foundations? on Tuesday July 05, 2016 @09:53PM (#12040750)
That's what semantic versioning is all about
tl;dr Don't use unnecessary amount of scripts and tools to do what vim + git do just fine.
Re:The simple things I want in a text editor on Tuesday June 14, 2016 @07:28AM (#11901234)
Now that I'm used to keyboard navigation this seems so backwards
Re:Ulam Spiral on Monday June 06, 2016 @06:38AM (#11845728)
Wonderfully worded. I'd throw that to Bill Nye at big think on youtube at see what he has to say. He loves "far out there" explanations for everything like that
Re:1995 Programming on the Sega Saturn on Saturday April 16, 2016 @05:28PM (#11512319)
The comment at the end about this being acceptable leaves me wondering. I started programming in 2013 and doubt there was once a time where "bad" coding was ok. Surely there was always someone on the other side of the fence. I suppose when it comes down to it, there is getting it done and getting it done today.
I block all ads globally. Until this "different model" becomes prevalent I'm not budging. The argument that there are websites that can't operate without ads is valid, but there is no websites that __actually__ need ads that would be willing to wall users of ad blockers. Sites like YouTube could never implement such a wall without significant loss of revenue.
Re:SECRET DOM DO Not USE OR YOU WILL BE FIRED on Thursday April 07, 2016 @09:39AM (#11447124)
What is the point of making a private reference to (what I assume) is a public ReactDOM reference?
I'm generally for advertising in content I enjoy, but for people who can't tell the difference (and would end up getting viruses, etc) I install ad blocking. I personally block all ads with a very minimal whitelist.
