A similar tool that I've had great fun with is Sandman:

https://github.com/jeffknupp/sandman

From the Readme: "Given a legacy database, sandman not only gives you a REST API, it gives you a beautiful admin page." It uses Python and SQLAlchemy and supports a good selection of databases.

Thanks for the info and links.
Good point - that's the only issue I have with K9 and AGP on Android. I'm happy to live with only being able to view encrypted attachments on the desktop at the moment.

There's an open issue to add PPG/MIME: https://code.google.com/p/k9mail/issues/detail?id=5864

There's also an open bounty which can be contributed to: https://www.bountysource.com/issues/815255-pgp-mime

Agreed - I'm using this setup and it works really well.

I can highly recommend Photofloat by Jason Donenfeld:

You might like the open source Zim: http://zim-wiki.org/

It's completely replaced Evernote for me. You can drag and drop images from a browser or the file system.

I recently replaced Evernote with the open source Zim: http://zim-wiki.org/

It's multiplatform, written in Pyhon, easily extensible and a truly fantastic piece of software that is well worth investigating.

Agreed - removing the driver would make it much more interesting. Safety regulations could then be relaxed considerably so we'd see more spectacular crashes. Also a human's inability to control a vehicle during high G force cornering severely restricts the speed you can allow the cars to go.

And the driver salaries could be donated to charity ;-)

Any drawbacks to using lvm comapared to AUFS? I'd like to switch to Debian from Ubuntu - will I notice any performance differences or other restrictions?
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback - much appreciated.

- link to main site on Github repo now fixed

- I agree the 'firs-run' technique isn't very elegant, I'll look into alternatives

- hadn't come across Packer before. It looks excellent (and lovely site design)! From a quick look it seems that it would be great for getting the inital image deployed. After that, Ansible's ability to make the image tailored to the individual is valuable.

Author here: this is a bit like Alex Payne's 'sovereign' project but using Docker containers for apps.

It's a bit rough around the edges but if any one would like to give it a go, the Docs are fairly easy to follow and you'll have a fully functional server up and running on Digital Ocean in about 15 minutes with a Ghost blog and piwik analytics. More apps to come soon.

Agreed - on my laptop XFCE works fantastically (Dell Latitude E6320 with dock and external 27" display).

I use QuickTile to get the basics of a tiling window manager. Here's my blog post about that: http://knitatoms.net/2013/04/quicktile-simple-tiling-window-...

The new version of Firefox on Android is fantastic.

Thanks for the link. I'd never heard of CheckVist or WorkFlowy. Having just tried them both, CheckVist is certainly more feature rich (due dates, formatting, multiple lists etc) whilst still being simple and keyboard driven.
