I am working on
https://beta.colorguesser.com/ - a small daily color guessing game.
A few years ago it started as colorguesser.com - which is not much maintained, but since there are many new users enjoying this small game, I decide to invest more time and add more feature.
TrailerSpoiler.com [0]
It annoys me how much a bad trailer can spoil the movie, so I made this platform to rate trailers how "spoily" they are and how good they are. To my surprise, you find some great trailers without many spoilers, but then you will have trailers which are basically a 3-min summary of the movie.

The attention to details, it's probably sorted by their contributions in percentage as well (not sure how to get that for such a project, but nvm).
I’ve created a few "daily puzzle" games (e.g., [0] and [1]), and it still surprises me when I meet a random stranger who occasionally plays them. Even now, I can’t quite explain why people keep coming back to the site every day.
But maybe for many, it's just a small daily ritual to distract for a few minutes.

Idk why people are always so harsh online. This is clearly stated as "experimental".
I am trying to figure out how to do marketing for my journaling app for language learning.
Basically, you journal in a foreign language and see grammar and other mistakes directly in the app:
https://langdiary.com
I managed to ship my journaling app [0] focused on language learners. Basically, you write your journals in a different language and see corrections.
Gonna focus on marketing and improving the app.

Can you give more info on that? the website is not very clear what it is, so basically it's an app to learn languages?

Hi there,Kiru here, I made this app a while back, saw recently a post about color names API and posted a link. A few people were interested, so thought more people can discover the page.Feel free to suggest any improvements.Cheers,
Kiru
This feels like a indirect response to what Andrej Karpathy said in his last presentation, about how it took him barely any time to create the project, but spent a few days to figure out how to deploy the project.
This is such a cool idea! You could potentially sell this or contact some watchmakers!
Actually I experienced with different distance metrics and settled for one.
> I get the same 5 colors every time?
That's probably a bug.
> Fun! If I may make one suggestion, could you please show the color I picked next to the real one once it is revealed?
The color of the color-name changes to what you picked.
Interesting perspective to see AI as the opposite of accessing connected knowledge (aka Zettelkasten)
Can you elaborate or show a better way?
Maybe just a toilet break (see the bio):
> Fun fact: All my comments have been written on the toilet. I don't use social media anywhere else.
Maybe someone should edit the title to mention this is from 2024: [Submitted on 30 Sep 2024 (v1), last revised 15 Oct 2024 (this version, v2)]
Thank you for this video. Love the style, introduction to color space and the practial use.
Nice, was looking for something similar.
indeed! The people who complain are not your users, most likely anyway.
Color names are a strange thing, it is like given names to numbers. I made a game out of it [0].

Google should vibe out others as well.
If I search now "Best CBD Gummies", the first few results are:
vice.com
independent.co.uk
healthline.com
observer.com
How is Forbes worse than any of those shallow comparison pages?
