webflow
Try the Linear app. It's simple and does the job quite well.

Herman Miller Mirra is awesome !
If you have something like Kafka before you insert your events into CH, you could consider enriching the event data by connecting with your Postgres data. That way, you still retain a flat CH table which should work just fine.
Re:Alar: The making of an open-source dictionary on Wednesday September 30, 2020 @06:06AM (#24637109)
Wonderful effort folks. You are definitely creating something that's going to last a long time and help a lot of people. Zerodha is a company I will adore from now on.
Would this be a replacement for something like Divolte? If yes, any specific reason why one should choose EventNative over Divolte, except for the "made in go" argument?
I would say, functional programming for sure.

Re:Ask HN: Opinions on Apache Druid engine on Friday July 26, 2019 @03:08AM (#20532936)
We haven't used Druid yet. We did a high level comparison among Druid, Clickhouse & Pinot from material available on the internet. Apparently, all 3 have similar mechanisms. But druid is a little expensive to deploy when at a smaller scale. Clickhouse seems to be performant too. We seem to be inclining towards Clickhouse.
Re:Ask HN: What have the past 12 months taught you? on Friday July 19, 2019 @06:51AM (#20477515)
Agree that your health becomes the highest priority as you realise that your family depends on you.
Re:A Word About Apple’s OS Betas on Wednesday July 10, 2019 @05:04AM (#20400323)
Burnt my fingers with Catalina. Too many issues for it to be released as a public beta. Very much unlike Mojave which was almost problem-free at beta. (Happily back on Mojave now).
Like the idea !
I would suggest a combination of Elm and Elixir :-) If you gain a good handle on these, you are bound to impress good employers
Re:Ask HN: Best shortcuts for doing math in your head on Thursday March 14, 2019 @10:06AM (#19389299)
Try to get hold of this Indian book: Vedic Mathematics or Sixteen Simple Mathematical Formulae from the Vedas (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/8120801636/).

I have also heard of a Trachtenberg Speed system (https://www.amazon.com/Trachtenberg-Speed-System-Basic-Mathe...).

Re:Ask HN: How do I 3x my performance? on Wednesday March 13, 2019 @07:41AM (#19377709)
I consider someone doing okay if he/she is not having one of the following issues.

(a) He/She lost someone close or someone you love has a life-threatening disease. He/She most likely is having a tough time comprehending life/death or the futility of aspiring to be like someone else. Life changes in a moment and everything that was important thus far becomes insignificant.

(b) He/She has a tooth ache. You'll agree that when someone has a tooth ache, nothing else matters

I'm sure there are other examples that portray my point. But I think the root cause of this feeling of appearing "incomplete" or "not enough" to yourself is that we as humans tend to unnecessarily compare ourselves with others. I'm not saying you shouldn't have goals to achieve, but just that those goals shouldn't have origins in somebody else's seemingly successful life.

Any small success you achieve on a day-to-day basis should be celebrated. And believe me, a string of such small kinds of successes will make you contented.

Re:Beta Testing Opportunity for World's Fastest Mesh Router on Wednesday March 06, 2019 @03:38AM (#19317296)
I'm interested to participate. I'm in Bangalore, India and I currently use a combination of Linksys/DLink routers with a Netgear repeater to connect at home. We have setup Ubiquiti at our office and it will help compare. Let me know.
Re:Examples of AMP-like JavaScript approaches? on Tuesday January 22, 2019 @02:46AM (#18966693)
Search for JAM stack and static site generators like GatsbyJS, Hugo, Jekyll etc.
Re:Announcing Gatsby 2.0.0 on Tuesday September 18, 2018 @05:17AM (#18013704)
Looking at moving a fairly large site to Gatsby. Hoping v2 improvements will help us.

Re:Anyone using a E-Ink screen for writing/programming? on Monday September 03, 2018 @08:32AM (#17902218)
I use Remarkable (https://remarkable.com/) and it's been quite good. I have heard the Sony one is also okay.
41. Connecting GatsbyJS to Wordpress. Awesome software, both of them. Learning about them now.
Re:Ask HN: Favorite note-taking software? on Monday July 16, 2018 @04:28AM (#17539619)
Joplin is a good Evernote replacement and has been getting updates quite frequently. Love it.
Re:Elixir: A Mini-Documentary [video] on Thursday July 12, 2018 @11:38PM (#17520357)
Awesome language and wonderful people
haha.. so would I :-)
Agree. If the open source project doesn't provide a good incremental build, it will lose to a project which does.
Besides, it would mean that the service (website) is so bad that they do not verify email ownership before allowing creation of the a/c with this email id.
I face this problem all the time. It's idiotic for people to put someone else's email id. This causes a lot of spam. However, I typically try to give them a chance to correct. If the spam still persists, I just go ahead and delete the a/c.
