Problem with modern grains 1) gluten 2) weed killers/ pesticides 3) lack of nutritional value

My father and many other people in my family increased to neutral millets and started giving up wheat as much as they can.

Those problems are worth solving for or roll back to grossini seeds and use his creative technique to not let it withered by wind and let’s you have better nutritional value

Re:Google Search is now less than half of Alphabet’s revenue on Saturday October 31, 2026 @06:48PM (#50321010)
Today open AI is serving ads to App free users post their queries. If the ad is relevant and adjacent to the query then it does show the ad in the chat. It isn’t clear how relevant ads are and users behaviour on this yet but worth experimenting to learn.
Re:Google Search is now less than half of Alphabet’s revenue on Thursday October 29, 2026 @08:03PM (#50298020)
Pre-AI, we used to spend upwards of $60K a year on Google Ads to keep our inbound pipeline running.

In the post-AI world, that spend dropped to $0. Not because Google Search suddenly stopped working, but because our segment (low-code platforms) was one of those that AI was going to disrupt significantly. We had to rethink and adapt our offering to the AI world before doubling down on marketing.

Now that we’ve repositioned and adapted our product, our marketing team has started experimenting with OpenAI as a channel, but we haven’t switched Google Ads back on.

There’s also something I find interesting about this shift. Google Ads always felt a bit like a mafia tax. When we stopped paying, our organic traffic seemed to take a disproportionate hit too. We could never quite figure out why. Maybe it was coincidence, maybe something else, but it left us questioning how independent organic search traffic really was from paid search.

update -- been over 5 days and google has just kept pushing their time lines. saying it needs cross team evaluation. I had similar experience with AWS and they were swift to give back credits to us. this tells me some serious issues with google and their org structure if this 2500$ is taking them a long long time to decide and involves cross functional teams. or maybe they have many more such incidents and adding up many more $$ or this is the 1st of its kind and are now putting an SOP. any one from google here?

Ask HN: My Gemini bill shot up suddenly to 2500 USD in one day

our usage of gemini is very limited. using 2.5 flash or similar models. at a hackathon in bay area i used the api key in my google app script. from that day my usage overshot to insane amounts.Google started charging y card every 30 mins or so. Google support said they will help significantly waive this off but they havent been swift. any one else experienced anything similar?

Re:We Must Pace the Frontier on Saturday September 12, 2026 @03:13PM (#49676054)
I would like to imagine pacing frontier is in interest of both (anthropic and open AI) as it will enable them to enlarged their depreciation
Re:Formalizing Fermat's Last Theorem on Saturday September 05, 2026 @07:44AM (#49575624)
I would like to imagine accounting inference revenue on trained model and the depreciation cost for training that specific model must already been capitalized + compute to serve would be a net positive margin business. Ongoing training must rather be for future models.

But again once future models arrive they would render older models useless, so the asset must be depreciating really fast.

Would love someone to throw light on revenue and cost recognition at the unit level for this.

My father has gastric melonama and pretty much last few days left — does someone with knowledge know if this vaccine can be of any help? Or any registry available?
Re:The Cold Email on Thursday July 30, 2026 @01:01AM (#49106268)
I cold emailed a researcher in Japan about gut bacteria e. Americana for cancer treatment and registering my dad for clinical trials as and when they happen. And hell yea - professor replied :)

So yes — just do it!

Re:Ask HN: Can't we think out of the box to kill the tumor? on Wednesday July 29, 2026 @11:13PM (#49105761)
But isn’t the case that faster you fail you get to the goal post better? Terminally ill trial vs non terminally ill can be differentiated somehow while measuring efficacy and other post trial parameters ?
This seems very promising
This is helpful.

Ask HN: Can't we think out of the box to kill the tumor?

Current creativity is all focused around making T cells recognize tumor in my knowledge. Is there any one working in other kind of injectable cells that feed on this tumor and thinking differently?Context: my father is a last stage patient (gastric melonama) and I think as an engineer that there ought to be some solution!

Re:Who's Afraid of Chinese Models? on Tuesday July 21, 2026 @01:31AM (#48988399)
I would think everything boils down to source of funding and their narrative should get pushed!
Re:Who's Afraid of Chinese Models? on Monday July 20, 2026 @11:37PM (#48987747)
I am afraid — if Chinese models go mainstream it has a clear way of pushing its narrative way beyond its otherwise borders. More like a Trojan horse it is for the Chinese.

Here is a quick example of how Chinese deepseeks agent works kn its underlying model) when asked a tough question

https://x.com/jinen83/status/2079406993979383902?s=46&t=D7hQ...

Maybe a tangent point but quality of their open weights is a directly proportional to what’s gone in while training. IMHO Chinese models must have gotten heavily biased “official Chinese view” in most topics of how it sees the world. So for AGI purposes — yes a challenge would be win in the west for these open weights

I tried DeepSeek agent to get answers from Chinese models on some tough questions regarding Chinese govt and it refused. I am very keen to go a level deep and host the model and see what it really gives an answer

Twilio Account Hacked

I did try to give VAPI my twilio account to play around. Yesterday I saw unauthorized usage & SMS's for authy was heavily used on my account. I deleted all API keys. Yet my billing kept going higher. Twilio helped me suspend the account. But i am curious an account without any API keys ideally shouldnt have got further misused. what am i missing?

Re:Is anyone actually using OpenClaw? on Wednesday April 15, 2026 @04:18PM (#47784670)
I am using it as one the agent that is automating LinkedIn outreach by running a bash script & using ai wherever it needs some decision like finding first name or what message to write, etc.
Makes sense. But with plain English you can build similar small single purpose app and someone else hosts it. No need to learn how to make low code work and 10x faster. IMHO plain English will triumph!
DronaHQ.com

Ask HN: How relevant is low code according to you in today’s world with Claude?

Disclaimer: I run a low code service and still many customers use us. But am curious what’s the developer /cto perspective on this?We do have a AI assistant to help build on top of platform but the primary appeal of low code was don’t bother about code and care about the app which with agentic sw development may also be achieved.

Re:How far back in time can you understand English? on Saturday February 21, 2026 @11:58PM (#47108334)
Some random thoughts —

why language would evolve ? Let’s say to make it easier and better ? And if such a case then wouldn’t that be applicable to all languages? If yes then I am a native kutchi speaker and it just a dialect. How would its history of change could even be found? But I do speak other languages like Gujarati and Hindi and I wonder if there was any evolution if those languages which have a

Re:How far back in time can you understand English? on Saturday February 21, 2026 @11:40PM (#47108229)
As I read the article — I was curious if there are any language museums. If any would love to visit.
They do give an option to upload statements. I don’t know if that leads them to achieve claw back. Am curious if they can do this?

Show HN: I built v1 of Omni channel SDR Agent

My goal with sdr agent ids to make the agent prospect and push it into a cadence and work autonomously across LinkedIn, emails and calls at my Omni channel touch point system. My config: There are three agents working in silos.1) comet ( I will mostly replace this with clawdebot) to work on Sending Friend request on LinkedIn and push the prospects in a Google sheet 2) Dronahq agent (disclaimer:...

Re:RIP Low-Code 2014-2025 on Tuesday January 27, 2026 @03:55AM (#46777287)
I am the founder of Dronahq - bootstrapped Low code platform. I fully concur with how AI is eating low code platforms for breakfast.

However underlying principles haven’t changed.

-Engineering bandwidth is minimally available for Internal tools. -Enterprise controls/guardrails are important needs - bringing in data to your app is a must have - maintaining code vs low code apps — low code has been a lot easier

In a conversation with a CTO at VC fund - he predicts that 4-6 quarters and you shall see demand back to peak in low code segment!

In a customer conversation— customer made one tool with cursor and he was very successful but by the time he started adding features for 2.0 everything started breaking and he wanted to move back to lowcode.

As a low code vendor- we just added internal tool building agent that underneath writes react code and leverages the other core capability of the platform thereby giving users best of both the worlds.

But surely interesting times ahead for the category. Let’s see if it survives or dies!

My personal take— it will survive and converge with agentic ai!
