Also having a knife stuck to your belt, instead of your knee pouch.
You don't have to move to Asia for a cheap and decent living, you can try a modern city from the Eastern Europe or Portugal, you'll find nice communities, open with the foreigners, interesting projects, volunteering, a social and healthy life.

Dear Google Now, stop ruining my Survivor experience

Like most of you, I'm a huge Survivor fan, waiting the release of every episode and thinking who is the one that gets the boot each time. I cannot see the episode right when it's aired so I see it 12h later. On the other hand, Google Now knows I'm a Survivor fan, and right after each episode it suggests me stories about the player that was kicked out - thus spoiling the surprise. So, dear...

We already support pattern unlock, if there are requests for pin unlock, it'll be really easy to integrate it. Custom feeds is on our roadmap. Sometimes in the near future.

Ask HN: Help us structure our ready-to-launch content discovery Android app

Hi there,We're in the final steps of preparation for the launch of our new content discovery Android app and wanted to ask the community's help in finding what content categories / sources you think would make the most sense for the general public.Specifically our app is an Android Lock Screen that pulls RSS content from a number of websites in different categories and aggregates that in an...

Ask HN: What CPM/CPC Ad Network should I use for low traffic content sites?

I have some small (low traffic) content websites and Google won't let me sign them up in AdSense program (not a lot of content and traffic). The content is good, nice design also. What CPM/CPC Ad Network are there in order to monetize my web traffic? I'm looking for something legit, no pop unders, no "Download" button, or other impersonations. I have the standard formats available 700x90,...

Re:Ask HN: We are looking to “adopt” Android apps on Friday March 21, 2014 @09:26AM (#7442091)
We tried some other marketplaces, but the quality of apps there is not very high. We would prefer an app that solves a real problem.
Re:Ask HN: We are looking to “adopt” Android apps on Friday March 21, 2014 @09:25AM (#7442082)
As I said earlier, we don't sell or give any information to anyone, nor we collect data that can uniquely identify any user. All data (time on screen, geo, time, locale) is used internally as part of our analytics app.
Re:Ask HN: We are looking to “adopt” Android apps on Friday March 21, 2014 @09:22AM (#7442059)
We don't sell any information to anyone, nor we collect data that can uniquely identify any user. We are interested in users' actions, time on screens and so on. This is why we wouldn't prefer games. But as I said, games would be ok as well if we cannot find other apps.
Re:Ask HN: We are looking to “adopt” Android apps on Friday March 21, 2014 @09:19AM (#7442038)
We are mainly interested in general purpose apps, but games would be ok as well.

Ask HN: We are looking to “adopt” Android apps

Hi HN Community! We are currently working on a mobile analytics project focused on the Android platform. In the spirit of the lean startup philosophy, we want to be able to run live tests of our assumptions with real users, and iterate really fast.Given that a lot of applications that were developed are now abandoned for a lot of reasons (did not grow big enough, developers moved on to other...
