My name is Kenneth, not Keith.
I didn't lose control of my project, I removed myself from it intentionally (and unprompted).
Truth. This manifests as stigma, however, and needs awareness to compensate for.
FYI, I updated the post to acknowledge the public criticisms of my previous behavior:
> I need to be clear about something. I'm not claiming innocence in every workplace conflict or community dispute. I've made mistakes, handled situations poorly, and there's been legitimate criticism of my behavior in some cases. The Requests 3 fundraising situation, in particular, was handled badly - I took on commitments I couldn't deliver and didn't communicate well about the problems. I've apologized for this, though I understand the damage was already done. Mental illness doesn't excuse harmful behavior, and I'm not asking it to.
Thanks for the feedback!

I didn’t get to attend, but I enjoyed living vicariously through this post :-)

Also:
> From what I've heard, Pipenv "has been officially blessed" only insofar as its maintainer got commit access to PyPA's documentation and inserted a recommendation.
This is blatantly false.
I apologize for not meeting perfect standards of mood at all times. I have bipolar disorder, for what it's worth, and working on a packaging tool is very stress-inducing.

Flickr is far from dead. Photographers use it religiously.
Writing spreadsheets and other tabular data formats for Python is very simple with my Tablib library (

GitHub's fandom is impressive considering how picky and opinionated developers are. How did you find an agnosticity balance that made such a diverse group of developers so happy?
I'm curious if the answer is being selective in features. You guys had a Gem builder for a while. Was it closed to help foster that idea that GitHub wasn't only a Ruby community site? And, did you consider creating similar tools for other languages?
