VB5 Pro was one of the best IDE's I have ever used. You could literally write code as you debugged. This sounds dangerous and is, but It helped me understand how programming actually worked. F1 context help was a great idea and super helpful - MS ruined it with MS Developer CD and it was super slow. I decided to get into programming because in Junior college we built a pizza ordering client server and had two IDEs opened in debug mode and you could step through it from client to server. I bought a $2000 computer and VB5 Pro for $55 at a computer show and got into VB Access programming job. Borland was kinda fading away out when I started programming and MS products were taking over the campus.
Predicting El Niño vs. La Niña vs. neutral: relatively reliable.
Predicting how strong the El Niño will be: harder.
Predicting exactly what it will do to rainfall, temperatures, storms, or snowfall: substantially less reliable.
I think we are pulling in the driveway.
The reason for the drop, I think you might be keto adapted. If you had < 20 grams of carbs you might be using all the ketones in your blood. If you can tolerate MCT oil you can use it as a ketone boost.
I'm 56 and have been experimenting with it. It definitely helps me stay laser focus on a task. I take between 10 to 15 grams a day in multiple doses. It does help with brain fatigue if you don't sleep well either. I'm also on keto diet and it helps me at the gym. Here is the thing everyone's DNA is different - keto works for me because I have tried it on and off. I have way more energy off carbs. I can also tolerate creatine, some people can't.
This is not completely local and not private. You are still sending info to third parties. Local definition is everything runs local, it does not include sending info to third parties.
I agree. The amount of cameras and tracking has gotten out of control. If America actually becomes an "authoritarian" country (seems almost likely) I imagine all these Flock pics with other data mining techniques will be used to send Communist Progressives to reeducation camp.
The vector search works great once you figure it out. I wanted to focus on writing the application and not have to rewrite a document store.
I built this for local RAG
https://github.com/kbrisso/byte-vision it uses llama.cpp and Elasticsearch. On a laptop with 8 GB GPU it can handle a 30K token size and summarize a fairly large PDF.
I'm a libertarian until it comes to human safety and corruption. We need regulations to regulate greed. I also believe in privacy and personal freedom as long as you don't hurt others. If you want to come to this country and work - please come and do so. Freedom isn't a flag on a truck or to poison the well and the and die from drinking poisoned water.
The scary thing? Who says Trump is going away?
Who needs mandatory id systems? State ID's and passports work just fine. What if I don't want an ID?
What if they scanned you and the result was illegal alien? How would you feel?
This is America and we shouldn't have to put up with this. We shouldn't allow mask men running around terrorizing people because of race. But we can't stop it. American freedom is about being free from this form of harassment. American freedom is about being left alone to make something for yourself and your family. America is built on a bad marriage and is not perfect but to let this administration continue to do these types of illegal acts and cause one constitutional crisis after another is the down fall of this country in my opinion. As far as I'm concerned there will be no more elections in the future. What do we do then?
Free trade along with capitalism has brought more people out of poverty than any other economic theory/system. It's not perfect but you can't deny it's impact.

Hello everyone,
To learn more about MCPs, I decided to build a server to run Llama.cpp locally. Currently, it functions as an inference server. I thought others who are interested in learning how this works might find it useful. I didn't find anything similar on the web.I used this SDK to build it: https://github.com/metoro-io/mcp-golangThanks!
Kevin
I chunk the documents and use Elasticsearch to store the vectors. On a laptop with 8GB of GPU I can have a pretty large context window and not hallucinate.
Byte-Vision is a privacy-first document intelligence platform that transforms static documents into an interactive, searchable knowledge base. Built on Elasticsearch with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) capabilities, it offers document parsing, OCR processing, and conversational AI interfaces.

With Teeth is his first sober album. He wanted the stripped back rock feel so it would sound different from the previous.
I don't like Spotify's business model. This is why I use Deezer as my streaming service. Deezer pays the artist more and has Hi-Fi streams. Streaming is killing the music industry and quality because it pays crappy royalties.
Why do people vote for him? America is a closet racist country and the education system obviously doesn't produce critical thinkers. The south is poor and Trump will make them money again some how - they believe that. Trump will make grocery prices' go down and create many magnificent jobs. Trump will make interest rates go down and loans cheaper. He will deport all the Mexicans so the black or white people can fill the jobs.Trump is a populist con man who conned his base. No public company or start up will ever hire a CEO like him. I call this political entropy. This is the decline in America in my view. It's a sad day and I will just stick my head in the sand and hope we make it through.
Bingo, great reply! This is what I've been trying to explain to my wife. LLM's use fancy math and our language examples to reproduce our language but have no thoughts are feelings.
I don't check my blood pressure every day. Maybe twice a month or when I feel like crap. I also check my glucose. Why? I believe if I keep myself in check I will keep myself out of the hospital as I age. High blood pressure and diabetes are two things I can manage. I don't want to be on meds unless I absolutely have to. Exercise and these tools allow me to figure out what I can eat and not. I'm not obsessed with my health or a health "nut". The upside is I don't get sick that much and feel good.
Measuring blood pressure on the wrist is tricky. I usually do three measurements to get an accurate reading. I have two machines I use. The older one is actually better than the new one. Another thing is, pay attention to how you feel. I can feel my blood pressure when it's high and usually know when the device reading is off. I do this because my family has a history of high blood pressure and so far because of lifestyle choices I have avoided the need for meds.
Subscribed! I'm guessing that nothing needs to be done to let my friends know? It just works?
I love facts like this, thanks!
