The cookie banner is safari was a nice touch
Re:ZuckOff Know when a camera is in the room on Monday September 21, 2026 @07:38AM (#49785944)
there was a black mirror episode on something similar IIRC
My brain kept reading Erlang and I was pretty confusing
Re:Ask HN: What you using local models for? on Sunday August 09, 2026 @09:23AM (#49231184)
I use qmd for that on over 20 years of journaling and saved quotes, works great

Re:Ask HN: Did GitHub remove the stargazers list? on Sunday August 09, 2026 @06:45AM (#49230219)
Stargazer = who starred a repo
Re:PGSimCity - How PostgreSQL Works on Monday July 27, 2026 @04:04AM (#49066471)
The logo shape of the platform is a very niche touch, kudos
Re:EU Fines Google $1.02B for Favoring Its Own Services on Monday July 27, 2026 @04:02AM (#49066458)
Nobody is forcing me to use Google search, regardless of all the browser and search engine selection clown show, so much wasted money and time for nonexisting problem
Re:EU Fines Google $1.02B for Favoring Its Own Services on Monday July 27, 2026 @03:58AM (#49066425)
yes, everybody lose here
Re:Show HN: How well do you use Claude Code? on Saturday July 25, 2026 @08:16AM (#49046947)
If quality is the metric, nobody would use something like that, seems like a micromanagement tool
Re:Show HN: How well do you use Claude Code? on Saturday July 25, 2026 @08:13AM (#49046930)
Feedback loop alone to validate hypothesis, even if you throw away all the code and decide to write by hand is a terrific value proposition.

I believe it’s only possible to truly appreciate that after doing it for a while with trial and error, without external opinions

That's the signal in the noise I open HN for, thanks for sharing!
Re:Show HN: IKEA Complexity Index on Saturday July 18, 2026 @04:24AM (#48956196)
I have nightmares of these, I’ll gladly pay someone else to do it next time
Re:Open-source memory for coding agents, synced over SSH on Wednesday July 15, 2026 @01:51PM (#48924605)
Different implementation details have different way to rank or “forget” or supersede facts but that’s pretty much it
Re:In Emacs, Everything Looks Like a Service on Friday July 10, 2026 @07:05AM (#48858325)
One of the pivotal moments in my career has been when I used Emacs just enough to truly understand what "Emacs is an operating system" means, not just as a joke but as something I could believe in
Re:CursorBench 3.1 on Thursday July 02, 2026 @08:32AM (#48760480)
I like Composer a lot as a general-purpose workhorse, but putting it over gpt5.5 medium makes the whole graph lose trust to me, asme witg GLM so low
Re:The Xteink X4 E-Ink Reader on Wednesday June 24, 2026 @03:28PM (#48664605)
iPhone pro max, fits nicely even with a cover, i also have a x3 but slightly prefer the bigger screen of x4’s but portability on is the read deal

Just seeing it act as a trigger to read for me, especially when book cover as standby background

Re:The Xteink X4 E-Ink Reader on Wednesday June 24, 2026 @02:12PM (#48663633)
been using on the back of my phone for a few months, my most satisfying hardware purchase in a long time
Love the idea, learning a lot of interesting things about node hooks by reading docs and some code
Even on mobile is very pleasing good job!
I’d rather ask my butcher than Haiku for coding tasks
Re:Do agents.md files help coding agents? on Monday June 08, 2026 @04:38AM (#48442765)
The amount of cargo-culting around AI tooling and practices is so weird to me.

Why not just try and see? The fast feedback loop allow testing all kind of weird theories in a matter of 30m-1h during normal working sessions, most results are obvious

Re:Ask HN: Why is the HN crowd so anti-AI? on Saturday June 06, 2026 @04:11PM (#48428543)
I believe is just an impression given “Anti somethings” people are usually more vocal and likely to comment on the topic
Re:A programming language made for agents on Friday May 22, 2026 @08:49AM (#48235149)
Major API changes in things like Svelte have shown that this is actually not as true as we expected it to be.

Simon Willison has an good post about it

Re:I Bought a "Junk" PSP from Japan: Here's How It Went on Saturday May 16, 2026 @03:49AM (#48157832)
I’ve surely spent more time modding PSP than playing games. Zero regrets

I just wish I started getting into software earlier, at that time it felt something super hard for “A beautiful mind” people

Re:Local AI needs to be the norm on Monday May 11, 2026 @11:15AM (#48096132)
We need more tools like QMD that beautifully download and use local models under the hood
